Hmmm £££'s and lbs are both a problem for me :rotfl:
I did tell myself I'd go for the maiden voyage first run of the New season this morning, but took one look at the snow and thought again.
*Finished the dreaded ironing :j
*Folded towels in dryer
*Put washed load into dryer (burn those £'s!)
*Next load in washer :A
*Kitchen cleaned, floor swept and mopped, dishwasher on
*Walked into bedroom, saw state, closed eyes and walked out
*Next I'm off to put away the ironing
*Have a caffiene fix and once that has upped my adrenalin levels, I'm going in!
*I need a shredder to bin all the papers in boxes (yes in my bedroom too hypno)
*Change the beds
*Do the 270 fling boogie (27 is too lightweight for this mission - I'm hardcore)
Right will sign off now, try and desposit on BB to withdraw winnings.
Get OH to ring Nectar - we have £90 worth of vouchers :j That will pay for this month's shopping :T
But they are in his name so I can't access them - despite the fact that I've earned them
Have a good day all - will catch up later xx0 -
Blimey - a woman on a mission :rotfl:
I am watching the Outnumbered Christmas special on i-player, then will see my client, which will take me up to 1pm......and then I will get blitzing!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I spend too much so the pounds in my bank are ever decreasing...I eat to much so the pounds on the scales are forever increasing....................if only it worked in the opposite way!
I would be one hot, lovely slim rich lady!!!!LBM Total: £33356 15/11/09  £6085.63 paid

Since the last installment much has been done, but the bedroom remains a bomb site.
I need my headlight bulb replacing. DH bought a tool for it, leant said tool to my Dad and never got it back. So I rang my Dad to see if he'd do it, he said yes, but only if you come NOW. Hell fire! Threw the kids in the car, raced down to him. He couldn't find the tool and couldn't get the bulb out, so suggested I go to the VW garage - at the other end of town
So chucked kids back in the car - complete with muddy wellies, with stern warnings not to put muddy feet on the back of the (black) car seats. This is the nicest cleanest car I've ever had and I'm trying really hard to keep it that way. :A
So I nipped to Sainsbury's en route and ended up getting sucked in to the "buy now - don't pay later" trap of Christmas cards (box of 30 for 64p - not bad!), pressies for teachers, nursery teachers when DD leaves in September - £3 now is better than £6 or 7 later...... anyway 95 quid later..... (that did include groceries though, don't panic)
Kids were moaning like billio, so I said they could have a ride outside the supermarket, cursing to myself that I was wasting a whole £1. The money Gods were smiling on me though, as the ride wasn't working and just kept spitting my pound back out :j :rotfl:
Kids REALLY moaning by then, so shoved them in the car, whilst I loaded the boot. Boot still full of things from Mum's party and a DOLL"S PRAM from Christmas day - sweet Lord!
So piled everything into the passenger seat and fastened kids in the back - only to find MUD all over the back of the seats!! Arrgghhhh!!!!:mad::mad: (Needless to say the Wii remotes were duly confiscated the minute we got home.)
Came home, dumped the kids and the shopping and went - like a total girl - to get a man to change my bulb:o:o
He was sooo nice! Said even blokes can't do it, as it is tricky. My tail light was out too, so he replaced that. I got my purse out and he said "No, it's ok"
What a STAR! :T
My friend popped round for a cuppa and has only just left. So that's all I've got done - next to nothing
Must try to make amends tonight, as back to work tomorrow...

Have a good last day of the decade and Happy New Year to anyone reading, Mac x0 -
Happy new year to you too, and hope that work provides you with some sanity after the madness of yesterday!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Work was fine once I'd remembered how to write my name - it took a while to engage brain
It was nice and peacful as there were only a few of us in, so I got lots done. Monday doesn't seem quite so daunting now....
Just put the finishing touches to a curry I've made to bring along tonight - as I'm the only veggie. There will be 4 couples and 8 kids, who are all friends, so I'm really looking forward to it. It won't be crazy, but will make a nice change from Hootenany!
Happy NEW Year to anyone reading, I hope Debt Freedom comes to us all in 2010.
Thanks to everyone who had read, given me support and encouragement this year. And to all those diaires which I have read, learnt from and laughted with. It has been my saviour :A
It's a truly great community and one which I'm very proud to be part of0 -
I feel uneasy about this on many levels, but I could do with help (plus she LOVES ironing - weirdo), so I decided to snap her hand off!
.
My mum loves ironing too! When I was working she used to have to go for blood tests early in the morning at a clinic near me, and then would call in mine for something to eat and do the ironing while she was here. It was a lovely surprise to come back to. Now I'm not working and the clinic is closed so I have to do it myself. And I hate ironing. If she lived nearer and drove, I'm sure she would do the same for me.
Re: the headlight bulb thing, I am usually quite handy, but on this car had to give up and get 'a man' to do it. Could see what I had to do, but couldn't get past the battery to get to it, so annoying.
Yesterday I got a free watch battery for DS watch. It should really go to a proper jeweller because its a good one, but couldn't afford it, took it to little local cobbler/battery type place. After putting battery in the guy couldn't get the back on the watch to fit properly so said he didn't want to damage it and wouldn't charge me for the battery. Then called in at a jeweller to see if they could put the back on, took 2 minutes and they didn't charge me either. Result.
sorry this is a long post on your diary, only popped by to wish you Happy New Year and now you have your 'saving' head on you should be fine. Its just the fact that you are now very conscious of what you are spending that will make the difference.
