Thanks everyone!
I have to say BoB the atmosphere was every bit as good as it is on the telly, that's really what inspired me to do it.
MY first loo break was at the portaloos, then after that took 7 mins I decided "no more". A few miles down the road I needed to go again and was panicking as I couldn't see any more  So, I spied a nice looking hedge, fought my way through and did my business there(apologies for TMI)
On the way home, my arm started stinging as if I'd been bitten. It's only today I remembered I'd been barbed in the arm as I fought my way through the bush! :rotfl:
I'm so dignified!
I sterilised a pin and tried to dig it out last night, but no joy. Everyone at work said it will work it's way out (think it's just the tiny tip of a thorn). It is quite sore, though not red but I'd rather get it out, so might have another dig later... CBA packing, so will pile on the pressure tomorrow night.
Every year, i say- "next year!" and i hope i can join you there next year. I particularly enjoyed the 30 year theme as well- took me right back with the songs;):rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Fingers crossed Se! I got good vibes from them, so think it'll be ok
You should apply for next year Bob! We'll get a little MSE team going, you, me and Hypno :T It'll be something to aim for. I'm defo going to enter, I'm still on a high now!
I still haven't seen it so might stick iplayer on and watch it.0 -

Thanks FW and Buffy
I've been bitten by the bug and have just seen a 10 miler in 2 weeks
Off to bed now, hopefully in the morning I'll have come to my senses! Night x0 -
Good morning, the insomnia continues. This time it started around 4.30am when little DD climbed into our bed saying it's not quite warm in her bed - then took over HALF of ours, leaving me squished in the middle....
I was so tired last night, as was DH that no packing was done. He seems to think the removal men can do it. They won't as we have paid for them to lift and move things - not pack *sigh*
There is still so much to do and I'd rather be prepared than have a heart attack on Thursday.
Anyway, I need to get into work early today as I have loads on at the minute and my head hasn't been in it for the last few weeks/ months. I can carry on making lists and writing my change of address letters at lunchtime. On Saturday, we need to come back here and finish of the attic; attach skirting, plaster, fill holes, paint door, hang door and redecorate - not much then :rotfl:
3 more nights to sleep until payday - it's been a long month....
Hope anyone reading has a good day0 -
It is not surprising that your head is all over the place - you have had a lot on, and a lot still on.....all taking your energy from various places. But visualise yourself in that new house, with the old one beautifully clean and in order for the new tenants.....you'll get there, but the next few days are bound to be fraught!
I hope that you manage to get a decent nights sleep tonight - early mornings, especially when it is dark outside, never help!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
