Thanks Gill, yes I'm very grateful to everyone who sponsored me. There was a time yesterday morning when I thought we might not get there. I would have been so gutted to let everyone down. Luckily, it all went to plan.
Right best shake a tired leg now and get to work to show off my medal!
Have a good day xx0 -
Good evening, so glad to be home. Bought breakfast at work = 70p AND lunch but that was less than £2 - roll on Friday when my payrise kicks in.
I felt shattered all morning but went out at lunchtime to wake myself up. Good job as I have more packing to do this evening - joy.
The good news today is that the lovely couple want to rent our house! :j Really delighted as I think/hope (:o) they will be good tenants.
Next week I've decided I am fat busting as well as debt busting. I've set myself a target to lose a stone pre-Christmas. In addition, I want to pay £100 per month off my overdraft.
Once we've settled in and I've made the necessary curtains for the lounge - which will be expensive as it's a big old window - I'm going to find ways of making extra cash.

Thanks Gill - you were right!
Yes they can move in at the end of the month which suits us fine as there are a few jobs to be done - so full steam ahead, once again0 -
That is EXCELLENT news!

Well done Macgirl, i fair enjoy watching the race on TV, i think next to the London Marathon it is at the top of the list for atmosphere and vitality. I am impressed with the time as well-nowt wrong with a loo break and you know the 'actual' time, so even better.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Woo great timing for the tenants, its all fallen perfectly!
Well done on the run, what a great week you have had/are having x0 -
Thanks everyone!
I have to say BoB the atmosphere was every bit as good as it is on the telly, that's really what inspired me to do it.
MY first loo break was at the portaloos, then after that took 7 mins I decided "no more". A few miles down the road I needed to go again and was panicking as I couldn't see any more  So, I spied a nice looking hedge, fought my way through and did my business there(apologies for TMI)
On the way home, my arm started stinging as if I'd been bitten. It's only today I remembered I'd been barbed in the arm as I fought my way through the bush! :rotfl:
I'm so dignified!
I sterilised a pin and tried to dig it out last night, but no joy. Everyone at work said it will work it's way out (think it's just the tiny tip of a thorn). It is quite sore, though not red but I'd rather get it out, so might have another dig later... CBA packing, so will pile on the pressure tomorrow night.0 -
Congrats on the tenants, hope the paperwork and references go through smoothly.0
