DD might be having sleep problems because of the move, everything being boxed up and moving to a new house must be disturbing, they might say they're OK but at that age they can't always express how they really feel even if normally they are articulate for their age, but it can come out in other ways. Hopefully it will settle down in the new house.

    Oh I don't think it's the move Se - she's just like that :D

Well the solicitor has just phoned and said we should be able to pick up the keys at 11am!!!!! :j:j:j:j:j

Can't believe it - I *never* thought we'd get this house, I'm soooooooooooooo happy :D:D:D:D:D

DH is at work and not home until about 6.30pm :( I'd dearly love to go and let myself in, but I want to wait for him. I've been in it when it's been empty - he hasn't, so I'll wait.

Until then I'm going to finish my breakfast - porridge and toast - Carb loading for Sunday! Allow myself another 15 mins on here, then I'm going to try and dismantle the dining table without breaking it :o Then pack as much as I can before I have to collect little DD at 12.30

Whoooooooooooopppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D (ok I'll calm down now!)

    I am pooped.

This morning I've dismantled the dining table. It was given to us by my MiL and is rather heavy, so I'm pleased I managed to do it myself.
Taken a single bed and frame down from the attic - that would have made a good comedy sketch had I been able to film it!
Packed up most of the dining room, bubble wrapped pictures, packed books etc
Packed a box of toys in the girl's room and emptied the doll's house. They will still have toys and books until we move, so I doubt they'll notice the difference. Last night we were able to say "This is the last Thursday night we'll ever sleep in this house!". They are very excited to move and can talk of nothing else.

Right coffee break for 15 mins, then back to it.

    Just got the Keys!! :j:j:j

Picked up little DD from school and after lunch we're going to spruce up the garden ready for tomorrow's viewings. We still have work to do in the attic and I don't know if that is putting people off or maybe it's too expensive......
It's making me nervous that 4 people have viewed and no-one wants to move in :o Think positive, think positive

    Hope you're having a good day :)

It is not that your house is not the right house for them.....it is that they are not the right tenants for you. Obviously the right tenants for you are out there, and will make themselves known very soon!

That's a nice sentiment, but I wish I knew what put the other viewers off....One woman was obviously smitten and ready to move in - her partner less so. But I'd like them to be brutally honest to the agent at least. If the garden's too small, then there's nothing I can do about that, if it's the clutter in the attic, then there is...

Lol KM :rotfl: - my U key has lifted off so I always have to press extra hard or I nfortnately, I end p type a bt like this!

Yes, will most definitely have a little toast, I've the the champers on ice - but the glasses are packed away! Might have to get some plastic ones

Right back to the garden, pick DD1 up, then to get some chipped bark to "dress" the beds.

Surprising what we *have* to do when we put our minds to it, tis how i became an independent being. I know i don't have to rely on anyone if i want a DIY job doing.:D

I love the way a countdown makes it all real too- good luck with the move.

Right the back garden looks much better and bigger, now it's empty of all our junk. I've dropped the table and chairs and taken the kid's sandpit and mini trampoline out along with all the plant pots - just left a couple by the back door. I've cut the grass, swept and scrubbed the decking and it's all looking spick and span.

I'm knackered now, plus palms of my hands are peeling and red raw - really sore :( Can't say I'm looking forward to filling the van we've hired this evening, but DH wants to do a couple of trips tonight when he gets in. I have more energy in the mornings - DH in the evenings, so he can do that tonight and I'll bring all the boxes up from the cellar at the crack of dawn tomorrow.

Think I'm meant to be conserving my energy for Sunday and still haven't started the waxing/tanning process :o Better get a move on!!!

Hi Bob :hello: I do love a deadline so I can get motoring!

I need to harness that determination for some debt busting - that's my next challenge ;)
