That's true and it was well worth it - one for the memory bank as DH says.
I didn't run today as I woke up with the sort of headache that made me think I was coming down with somethingThen I realised I'd been up 4 times with little DD and her bad dreams, plus I slept facing the skirting I had glossed yesterday - with the window shut
A day in the fresh air has sorted my head, so tomorrow will be 10 miles, as 3 weeks today is the Great North Run and by this time it'll all be over :j I'm aiming for 14 next week, then I'll feel ready.
Just off over to see how you got on today Hypno!0 -
Good morning! I'm just back from my run and got a shock when I mapped it - 12.15 miles! :j My time was 2hrs and 1 minute.
I've never ran that far before and although it was tough in places (I walked up at hill at 9 miles) I feel pretty confident for the GNR now.
A long soak in the bath is on the agenda for today, followed by some packing, yet more painting and sorting - yawn.
We need to nip to the supermarket for a couple of things, but it shouldn't be too expensive.
Happy Bank Holiday Monday - hope it's sunny where you are0 -
That is excellent - see, I told you that you would be faster than me! That is much quicker than I did yesterday!

I'm just having a quick coffee break. After a lazy day, I've had a late surge of energy so am blitzing the bedrooms in prep for Friday's photos.
This evening I've got to fill in forms for Critical Illness and Life cover. Our IFA has quoted £90 a month, which seems alot, but I can't find cheaper. We have a level term policy (on Martin's recommendation) for £150k @ £24 per month. Our IFA thinks this a luxury we can't afford and that we should just have decreasing term with CIC.....
We're tempted to keep the level policy aswell - or open a slightly cheaper one via Quidco and get M&S vouchers and £30 cashbackThe idea of a lump sum for the children if one of us were to die before they reach college age feels like the right thing to do........Fun times in MacWorld! :rotfl:

Whilst you may well be able to find a level term policy which is cheaper than your current one, on the new one, it will be the critical illness which bumps up the price considerably, and I reckon that £90 a month is a good price for both.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Thanks, I have to agree and it's with a reputable firm so we're going with it. We've agreed to keep our current policy going too in the meantime and see how our finances are.
Right, off for a soak, my legs don't feel too bad, but I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be walking like the Tin Man! Then I have some prep to do for tomorrow, so will catch up later.0 -

Hello, a non-eventful day thankfully as I was up for most of the night  Both girls had bad dreams, then one came in with us.
I kept a light on for the other, then remembered there were boxes in our bedroom doorway, so I couldn't close the door. Hence, I woke every half hour thinking it was morning because it was light!
Payment to Nationwide today which rounds it down. I'll check the rest of the cc's later and update my sig.
As it's Anti-Procrastination week this week in Flylady World, so I'm going to rise to the challenge. I have packing to do every evening to clear the decks for Friday. I also MUST tackle the boxes of paperwork (I would rather iron Mount Everest ) and I MUST label all the new school things.
The last 2 jobs, I keep putting off, but as the Lady herself says "don't put it off any longer, just get the job done". So that is my mission for the next 3 evenings.
Spent £1.85 on lunch at work. I really couldn't face WW soupso treated myself to veg chilli
Hope anyone reading has had a good day!0 -
My mission this week is to sort out paperwork.....whatever I can get rid of/sort this week will be work well done.

Right then, on your marks - shred! (No DVD player required for this one
)
I've just set up my Just Giving page for the GNR. I'm running for Kidney Research UK and last week I found out my friend's Dad had been diagnosed with cancer of the kidney, so it has added meaning now.....0
