So far, 2 loads of washing done, 1 on line, 1 in dryer and 3rd in washer.

Have washed the attic door, filled in the holes and sanded, so will give that an undercoat next. Then I have to finish glossing the other side of our bedroom skirting, for that room to be boxed off :T

There is a bit of touching up needs doing where we took down our lovely Laura Ashley curtain poles and replaced with my Wilko specials :money:

The critical illness/life cover docs have arrived this morning, along with the second mortgage offer. That will make for some nice bedtime reading this evening!

I absolutely never want to pick up a paint brush again.

Yes, I said exactly the same thing a few hours ago!

Yes I've just read that! I'm blaming the fumes, but I'm shattered and so SICK of it..... I'm having a day off tomorrow, but will be back to it on Bank "Holiday" Monday

Well KM, DH keeps delighting in telling people that there is "nothing" to do. I just stand behind him raising my eyebrows and smiling :p

It is nice and well maintained, but I do want to change a things to make it feel like home. It won't be more than a lick of paint though, as we will be eating out of bean tins as it is :o

Glad things seem to be moving along well mac. Yep, the 'doesn't need much work' bit is fine until you actually want to put your own stamp on it.

    Hope the kids enjoyed York.

Hi Gill, yes they really enjoyed it thanks.
We saw an archery competition on the way, so DH pulled over to let the kids have a look. Despite almost getting their heads blown off, they loved it and inspired them to nag us for 2 bows and arrows at the Jorvik Centre

We met some friends and went to Pizza Express - avec vouchers, so not the cheapest day, but very enjoyable and good to get out.
My friend was telling me about all her recent "bargains" and as we wandered in and out of various lovely shops like Cath Kidston, I realised how much I have stopped spending :T

    Hope everyone's had a nice day :)

Sounds like a lovely day, and even if it wasn't the most MSE of days, sometimes we just need to do it!
