Aww, thanks Taxi :A
I had a mini-lie in this morning, so no run. But the sky is brilliant blue and all is well in macworld
Lots to do today:
1. The house needs a blitz after weeks of decorating and not much else, I need to get it ready for it's photoshoot next Friday.
2. Must buy school shoes for the girls and a track suit for little DD - then we're done for school.
3. I'm going to try and borrow the house keys today to measure up for curtains, as I'm going to make some
4. Might nip to Ikea and check out the fabric for DD's room - already pealed myself away from Laura Ashley
5. Still need to fill holes in the panelled attic door ready to be glossed and re-hung (we were going to have it dipped and stripped)
6. Go to Post Office
Then check bank account and all being well pay off Barclaycard today. There are lots of extra costs with moving I need to be mindful of, but I think I can do that this month :T
Have a good day to anyone reading0 -
Another lazy day then, Mac :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Oh yes - you know me!0

I've just paid off Barclaycard :j I'd like to say "Once and for All" but I may transfer a balance onto it at some point, as they are offering me good rates at the moment.
Next target is Virgin. If I do get some sort of windfall from work, that will be winging it's way to them (though I also have my eye on a sofa too:o:o Our living room is teeny tiny compared to the new house - which is a good 5ft wider and 3ft longer, so I have to fill it with something
)
Right enough time-wasting, I'm off to blitz the house, ring the EA and solicitor, go to the PO, then off to buy school shoes and possibly curtain fabric.
Have a good day all xx0 -
Well done on paying off barclaycard...
Have a good day...looks like you've plenty to do to keep you out of trouble0 -
Absolutely - there is nothing like seeing another debt bite the dust :jSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Just back, dinner is in the oven. It's a bit of a mish mash tonight but I'm determined too use everything up rather than move it all.
Spoke to the solicitor and all is moving in the right direction. He said he will go through everything on Tuesday and contact the other side with queries (it might be easier to get in touch with the "other side" to find out a completion date )
Today, our IFA has asked me to get 2 more letting agents to give us quotes as the other mortgage valuation of the rental income came back lower than we are going to let it for. It was almost £100 less than all other properties go for around here - so he didn't exactly do his work properly.
This is a pain. We are off until Tuesday but obviously can't get anyone to value it over the weekend at such short notice. Then we are at work every day next week, so it's impossible to get anyone in until Friday. that will push the other mortgage offer on another week. It's so tedious I know...... *sigh*
I'm sure we'll be in for Christmas0 -
REALLY did not want to go for a run this morning. The only thing that made me go was the impending GNR. I jogged the mile to the paper shop, then stopped to buy a paper
then felt guilty, so ran a detour home - finishing at about 3 miles. Embarrassingly poor.
Tomorrow I'll make up for it as I'm doing at least 10 miles, then next week 14, then "tapering", though my training plan is rather loose
Today, we are having a skip delivered for poor old DH to chuck out his stuff - bless. I will be packing boxes and storing them in the cellar until next weekend when we're having the photos taken for letting. Hopefully today will be an NSD....0 -
Good luck with the packing, and with getting OH to "let go". Make sure you tell him that once it is in the skip, it is NOT coming back out again!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Thanks, he'll be ok. He's organised it himself and I think now he sees the error of his hoarding ways
"Release and be Free!"
Spent £15.06 in sainsburys and should have enough to feed us ntil next week. We are taking the kids to York tomorrow to meet friends. We'll be taking a packed lunch and flasks, then going to the Jorvik. They've been so good for the last few weeks while we've been decorating and sorting, so they deserve a treat.
Right - back to the grind - the skip has just arrived!0
