Oh mac, how horrible - hope you're feeling better now.
Glad you enjoyed Rome - sounds like a lovely trip.:TSuccess is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £10,546, Car loan CC 0% BT £5200. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
Thanks everyone :A:A:A
Today is a new day and the past is behind me. My family act like Stepford Wives in this scenario and walk around like nothing has happened
As far as I'm concerned, I've moved on but will be less accommodating in future and send any of them wanting to offload - to do it elsewhere....
So, back to reality. I'm off work for the next couple of days, so will factor in some fun time with the girls - in between packing boxes and the endless decluttering.
Today, I have the plumber coming back to look at the leak we thought had been fixed. Then, a surveyor is coming to value this house for our new mortgage.
I have one last envelope left containing £20 and that must last until next Wednesday's payday
Happy Monday everyone0 -

Very quick as I'm due to start work in 4 minutes (!).
I just want to say your continuing optimism and ability to rise above all the carp that's going on is truly inspiring.
You have lifted my day!
Good luck, and remember.... this too shall pass.

Awww, thank you Sessie :kisses3:
I never consider myself to be inspiring, but I'm very touched that you are! Have a good day0 -
Urghh, feel a bit sick. The surveyor has just been and now I feel really worried that we won't get the BTL mortgage
He did damp readings and looked at an extension we have had rebuilt - I don't know why but I feel very uneasy.....
The survey is being done today on the new house too, but I'm sure that will be fine. If we had to pull out now it would be awful....
He commented on the amount of stuff in the attic room and what a big job it would be to pack up - highly embarrassing, but can't tell me what will be in the report. He said he will send a report asap and we should hear back from the bank on Friday:o:o
Anyway, the kids are going stir crazy so I'm taking them to the park for some fresh air - the weather is glorious here, so we'd better take advantage while we can0 -
Try not to worry about it as worrying won't change anything...
Have a good time at the park and a nice couple of days off.0 -
Thanks Taxi, that's what I decided on the way to the park - Que Cera, Cera.....
The park was packed but the kids ran around and we all had an ice cream on the way home
Then I got changed into my painting gear and glossed the back door, the kitchen door - inside and out and the stone windowsills outside. So I have made some headway this afternoon.
Tonight I'm going to tackle some paperwork in the attic and possibly tile the fireplace in my bedroom that I didn't have time to do before Rome.
Last night's left over fishcakes for the girls for tea and veggie burgers for me - the freezer/cupboard stores are dwindling nicely, so we shouldn't have too much to move.
Must look at the bank accounts this evening, as I've been too scared to since we got back0 -
can't believe you get so much done in a day..you are so so busy0

Things have gone your way so far, re the house thing, despite potential blips, so I am sure that this will go your way too.
