I have stopped now. Just waxed my legs - not a salon finish, but the wolf tights have been banished!

Booked the car park at the airport - £17.86 and travel insurance £6.62 - thank you Martin ;) So just a quick house blitz tomorrow and I'm on target - though I haven't even thought about packing for our trip, at least all the washing and ironing is done. I'm so tired now, so am off to bed. Night x

Oh yes Chops, he is magic, because he has ME as a glamourous assistant who does all the bl**dy work!!! (I'm not bitter :p)

Woke up planning which route I would run, then little DD crawled into my bed saying she was really going to miss me and doesn't us to go away :( So emotional blackmail number 2 and no run - will DEFO go tomorrow - my last run of my 30's

When I bought the travel insurance last night it asked for our ages - I typed in 39, then when it came back it had DH's details and me as the additional person with (40) after my name :( I don't know why - as I'm not bothered by age - but seeing it written down made me feel sad....... I'll get over it, there's no point fighting it and I am grateful to have made it to 40 :)

Anyway, money: The IFA is calling tonight to discuss life assurance and pensions (no doubt trying to sell us something) and the second mortgage. It's all very real now - and scary _pale_
We are taking advantage of our Nationwide account and using that while in Rome, so top money saving there :money:

Other than that it will be cleaning, trying to convince DH to buy some shorts and sandals - he is very much jeans and trainers man, then putting the finishing touches to my "In Case of Emergency" doc for my sister. Listing all debts, life assurance DIY Will and who gets the kids if we die together whilst away - grim....

Just read back over this - How much do I love smilies?! :rotfl:

Macgirl, have you thought of using an epilator for the legs, I thought it would be really painful but it wasn't as long as you make sure the hairs aren't too long the first time. It's really quick and easy, and long term supposed to be the cheapest as well as a good method on legs.

Have a good birthday, and enjoy Rome.

    Thanks very much :kisses3:

The last day of my 30's arrived at 5am with a call from little DD after a bad dream....
Since then, I've written my Last Will and Testament and put together my Incase of Emergency Document. Yesterday we discussed the ins and out of Critical Illness cover and Death in Service - so it's all been jolly stuff! :rotfl:

My 30's were very eventful, bought my first house, got married, had 2 beautiful and healthy children, saw some success in my career. But they were also some of the darkest times, so in one respect I'm happy to move to a new chapter and am relishing my 40's!

We are packed and ready and will leave at 10.30, after I've changed our bed, whizzed round with the hoover, mopped and finished packing :o

Can't wait now :j it's somewhere I've always wanted to go.

Will perhaps start a new and improved debt-busting at 40 diary when I get back.

Have a good week - see you Friday x
