I'm trying to psych myself up for this weekend by reading Flylady. There is alot to do if we are to move in 3 weeks. DH thinks it'll be fine it's just "sticking things in boxes". If only it were that simple *sigh*.
I have felt a bit overwhelmed by it all today, mainly I suppose because I have organised everything, so know what needs to be done.

Cash wise it will be a spending weekend. £19.99 for the carpet cleaner hire - I did consider using Stardrops and elbow grease, but think I need more power.
My hair cut and colour will be £60, but I haven't had it cut for 12 weeks, so needs must.

I have another pay review at the end of the month, so it would be nice to think I may see a small windfall there - I can but hope :D

Ended up staying up to do work, so went to bed at midnight. I'm pleased I got it done, it takes the pressure off. I have more to finish before emailing it off on Monday.

Woke at 6.30 and was contemplating a run when DD1 got up and was delighted that her sister was asleep and she had me all to herself, so I didn't have the heart to leave her. DH is collecting the van and carpet cleaner, so I can tick those off my list :T

I am feeling the effects of not exercising for a week, so will do Shred this evening before running tomorrow.

So, after getting my hair done, on today's agenda is packing, packing and more packing. The house is starting to resemble a bomb site as everything that was put away / shoved away  is now out of it's hiding place, so things will start to get chaotic if I don't start packing.
It's going to be a bit difficult keeping things tidy ready for potential tenants to view.

I have to buy a present for DD's friend this morning, so will try TK Maxx to find a bargain.

Have a good day if you're reading :)

The run can wait another day - some things are more important :)

good luck with the continued packing and cleaning - it is all going ahead very quickly (or so it seems) - I guess that is a benefit of no chain!

    Have a good day x

I know - it is scary-quick really. The good thing is that we don't have the pressure of having to move everything in one day. We can get the keys on Friday and have moved in by Sunday, then have Bank Holiday Monday to unpack.

I was looking at prices of vans last night and reckon it will be just under £200. I would love the luxury of a packing service and removals firm, but that is just not going to happen. So I have my boxes from work, someone had kindly loaned me a tape gun and I have plenty of marker pens and parcel tape - so we're good to go!

Hello, another busy day where I don't feel like I've got much done!

Hair cost more than I expected due to my regular stylist being on Mat leave, then DD's friend's present was £8.99 - other than that no spends TG.

I cleaned the stairs and landing carpets - bucketfuls of black water were emptied from the cleaner :o - but they look much better so another job ticked off.
DH then scrubbed the carseats and took the cleaner up to my Mum's to do her carpets too, so we've got our money's worth :D

This evening, I'm going to attack the kitchen and pack everything not in regular use. I plan to do a room a day/evening so it's not so overwhelming.
DH thinks I'm alone in thinking it takes longer than a weekend to pack up a house! :wall:

Right, I started tidying the front garden before tea, so will go and finish that now....

Thank you. I'd show him that post but he would only roll his eyes

We have so many odds jobs to do, but DH just keeps saying we'll do that "when we move out" *sigh*

You are getting so much done, and it can't be that easy with children under your feet!
Agree with you on the hiring of cleaner. Your time is better spent with a proper machine. My sister and I went halves on a carpet cleaner a few years ago and its been money well spent.
