Aah of course you're doing GNR. I have tried SIS gels before as you don't need too much water with them and they don't taste like sperm :rotfl:(not that I would know what that tastes like - yuck :o) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: but I also have some Clif shot blocks which are just like sweets and easier to take.

Energy drink every 20 - 30 mins as well on a long run always helps.

I didn't use gels even on my longest runs of 19/20 miles.....just the lucozade.

Never needed to stop for the loo either - I think I just sweated it all away!

You've obviously got good pelvic floor muscles :T

I tried drinking gatorade or similar last year and felt so sick afterwards. I've been reading up on it and it seems gels might work, but it advises practising taking them.

It won't be a problem for the 10k, I'm not worried about that - it's the half marathon I'm concentrating on. There is a 10 mile race locally in June, which looks tough, but I'm tempted to enter as it will good preparation.

Look at that! A whole page of posts and I haven't mentioned houses or moving once! :rotfl:

Managed to gather yet another basketful of ironing - it never ends - along with some more to Ebay. I really must get on with that later.
I'm waiting for some visitors to arrive, so the house is spick and span in the way you pretend you always live (well, I'm sure some of you do :o)

An NSD planned and no need to go out, except to the tip, so once they've gone I will carry on decluttering/sorting/chucking.

We might have to take the girls to the park, they are starting to go stir crazy, but we rarely have weekends in, so I don't feel too guilty. Might just get them outside on the trampoline instead :D

Drat, just told my Mum about a cheaper house than the compromise house which has bags of potential but under offer too. She said "Well, it's not sold - so why not get in there and make an offer. Go on! Do it today!"

Need to keep my mouth shut and forget it for now. It's like unrequited love! :rotfl:

Just went out to the kitchen to find the steamer on fire!
The kitchen was filled with black smoke - very scary. It was spreading all over the house and the irony is that DH fitted new smoke alarms this morning (he's now out on a 2 hour bike ride of course) - so God knows why they didn't got off.

It has shook me up a bit.

Gosh! That is v. scary! Thank goodness you noticed and weren't leaving it to do its thing while you went for a soak in the bath or something
