I love Gok - he's so nice with the ladies and a very good stylist to boot. Better than that awful woman who used to be on 10 years younger! Urgghhh.
Well the leggings are black and under my dress that is 3 years old - they will add much needed sparkle.
I'm sure confidence is not your problem hypno - but it is easy to forget what suits you...
If you ever need a stylist - I'm your woman. I'll have you done up like a :xmastree: :rotfl: (Not really)
Well today has been very productive.
I have:- Tidied up the back garden, putting away kids furniture, garden chairs, tools etc
- Washed the girl's paddling pool which has been sat on the decking covered in gunk since the Summer
, dried it on the line and folded and put away
- Washed the downstairs windows and paintwork outside and the front and back doors! (VERY proud of that one
)
- Cleaned kitchen, including taking everything off the worktops - Flylady style - and cleaning them :A
Sadly though, I seem to have misplaced (I'm praying it's not lost) £30
It was in my jeans pocket last night at the fireworks party, then I took it out to put it in my purse this morning and don't know what I did with it after that...but it's not there now
The kids are having a rare sleepover at Granny's tonight :j
So I'm going to pack them off, have a bath, wax legs, paint nails, get dressed, then probably cry because I look stupid in my sequinned leggings and wear tights instead! :rotfl:0 -
Just go with the leggings after a couple pf tiples you will relax...xx0

As Gok would say "it's all about the confidence"
Enjoy your evening out and I hope that £30 turns up soon!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I'm sitting here uber-excited because of the unclaimed Euro-millions
We have a syndicate at work and the person who runs it has left the tickets AT WORK!!!
So if you don't see me again on here it's because I'm a MILLIONAIRE!

More importantly.........how did the sparkly leggings goSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

:rotfl: If I do win the lotto - I'll buy you a pair
I looked quite tame to be honest! I walked into the party and it was a SEA of Sequins - EVERYONE had them on! I was quite relieved mine were on my lower half - they looked more low-key.
It was a nice evening, good to share a few drinks and some laughs with good friends. I had a heated debate with OH about money before we went though, which humbled me a bit.....0 -
Sounds like you made a wise choice - glad you had a good evening.
Heated debates with OH.......hope it didn't spoil things!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
No not at all, we're ok.
We have increased the joint pot now to share the cost for groceries, kids clothes & shoes and going out and it's now become obvious how different we are in our attiude to money.
Reading miemie's diary yesterday really struck a chord with me...
I am materialistic, but it's not because I need to show off to people or validate myself - I just appreciate nice things - I think that's the artist in me.
I realise this makes me sound vacuous and shallow and perhaps I am......:o
Oops - getting a bit too deep - off to look at £1,000,000 houses (and do the ironing)
Catch you later xx0 -
OH Macgirl, feel guilty for making you feel bad, i'm sure your not shallow and you don't come across like that:D, I like nice things to, to go on holiday etc but i'm aware that other people especially at the moment with times being hard don't have or can't afford things. what i was trying to get across and probably badly knowing me is that i hate the sort of people that make you feel bad and not good enough, the ones that go on about the cost of everything they buy or the i've done that but bigger and better types, they make me feel carp,so have made a decision to stay away from them, now i'm getting deep.
Glad you had a good evening out and i love sequins.0
