Today I need to try and lower our Gas/Electric bil.

Many moons ago when I was an MSE baby, I followed the word from Martin and found the best deal - switching to Scottishpower.

They turned out to be nothing but trouble; didn't set up the DD for 4 months; put me on the wrong tariff and were always very helpful on the phone - but never followed through blah, blah, blah.

It was never my top priority, but now the mist is clearing on my finances, I really need to sort this out as we're paying £97 per month for dual fuel  - and there is no one in the house 4 days a week!

On a positive note, £96 has winged it's way from bingo and into my account this month this morning :T

Have a good day all x

Good luck with sorting out the utilities - we are with E.on and they have always been really good. We pay £104 for dual fuel which is probably about right, but as importantly as anything, their customer service has always been very good so even if we could change to something slightly cheaper, I wouldn't do so unless I knew that they were going to give me completely problem free service.

As for the bingo win, what can I say wtg wdw and all that!

WhooHooo Just got back and did just over 4 miles! I'm surprised how easy it felt, even up the mega steep hill - yay!

Think I may need new trainers though - might ask Mum & Dad for vouchers for Christmas towards a new pair :money:

Regards the utilites, I agree re: customer service hypno. I have to say whenever I've phoned Scottishpower, they are always lovely and very helpful. When I get off the phone I always feel very satisfied. Then nothing gets done and the next time I call I find the previous person hasn't done what they promised

WOW macgirl 4 miles well done, you're making me feel very lazy and ashamed, she says sat here in her dressing gown shoveling toast and butter down her gullet.

    To Do List for today:
    • Wrap presents for niece and nephew's birthdays and post
    • Spent an hour picking off the HUGE Asda discount sticker on bargain pressie for friend's daughter - Grrrrr! It looks so cheap now
    • Post Letter confirming No Claims Discount to new car insurance company - old co sending a chq for £36.98
    • Go to bank and pay in 2 cheques
    • Perform DIY leg wax, using half price wax strips - Wolf Tights be gone!
    • Take DD to Swimming Lesson
    • Declutter and clean house in superfast time and do ironing

If I can get all that done today, I'll be very happy indeed.
Now need to stop procrastinating and shake a leg (after I've read the papers with a coffee ;))

    *Confession Time* :o
Yesterday I spent some of the £30 I earned on sequin leggings! Will probably look like Mutton tonight, but I don't care.

I was soooo tempted to buy this bad boy:

    GLAMOURAMA :heartpuls

    Luckily, I didn't :A:A:A

    I'm sure I'll carry it off :p

Did you like the jacket though?! Gwyneth Paltrow eat your heart out.
(Not that I look remotely like her - Bella Emberg more like :rotfl:)
