    Frustrated today.

Despite bingo winnings, Ebay and watching every penny, the debt never looks to move. I'm ashamed to say it is actually higher than my sig, but I want to keep the figures as they for now or I'll become even more dispondant.

I'm determined not to give up, because I truly want to be debt free more than anything, but it is such a long road and I know I've only really taken the first step.

I have not bought lunch once, for a long time. If I spend anything at work it is never more than 70p - and that's not every day. I go to the supermarket once a week and do the main shop once a month online - with a strict budget.

Working in the fashion industry means that I love clothes, yet have not bought anything for months (but was so tempted to today - it took all my will power not to).

My salary is decent, yet already I am counting the days to payday (20).
Why Oh Why am I so carp? :(

    Aw thanks mate xx

I'm happy to do SOA, but TBH, I think I just have to tighten my belt even more.

Our main spends are childcare and fuel, which really can't be avoided.
I should cut down my mobile phone bill in all honesty and just keep away from any shop or supermarket - as I go in for milk and come out having spent £30

Nice to know you're lurking - you should come out more often ;)

    Good Morning
Went for an easy 3 mile run this morning, so feel much better. It always clears my head.

My day off today, so only school run of the week and we're ALWAYS late
Meeting a friend today and should dispatch the last of the infant car seat, so that should net me £30 - fingers crossed.

Right best be off - will catch up later.
Have a good day everyone, Mac x :)

Good for you on going for the run.

As for the SOA, "real" amount of debt etc - and as being one who has been there, done that in the past, I can only say that you are much better being honest with yourself and producing your true figures - even if you don't post the SOA, get it all down properly, and look it square in the face, and agree to do battle with it.

similarly for the sig - I had to increase mine by all my "hidden" debt that I had conveniently left to bumble along in the background, a couple of years ago - initially it was scary because my signature figure jumped by about £20k, but once it was there, I could deal with it, and the rest, they say, is history!

At the moment we have 2 kids in one small bedroom and a large bedroom currently used as OH's office. As he now has an office outside the home, we're going to switch the rooms over.
This will give us much needed storage space for the kids, but we've been talking about it for months now but still done nothing. That is about to change today. :D
I plan to wind the kids up, looking at new furniture (though hope to buy on Ebay).
Then when they've been whipped into a frenzy, they'll keep pecking at us (well him) until the deed is done - hopefully before Christmas. :j

I'm not coming back on here until I've done something, as fear I am procrastinating again.....

Don't forget about freecycle, or freegle depending on your area. We got a superb cabin bed for free from freecycle, AND it was a John Lewis one as well and looked brand new...
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thanks Sarah, hypno and chev :T

Yes, I didn't think about Freecycle, will check it out thanks :)

The true debt figure is really as it was when I started in May. Between then and now though, my car did blow up and although DH bought me another one
    - which sounds like I'm totally spoilt, but it's through his business and it still cost me.
It is 6 years old and needed a timing belt and service which was £450, so that went on a card, as did the insurance.
But the rest was probably groceries and other things which are now correctly budgeted for.

As I said, I am determined to pay it off and whatever I have to do to make that happen - then so be it.
I gave myself a talking to whilst out running.
In the spirit of Flylady, I didn't get in this mess in a day, so won't get out of it in a day, but I AM making progress so need to remember that.
The other Flylady thing I need to tackle (as well as the house which has returned to "bombsite" mode in a week ) is my "Inner Brat" - but more of that later!

Thanks to everyone for your support - it really means alot . :A

    Good Evening
Had a good day, although did spend a bit on a snack for me and DD when I met my friend.

Got the £30 :T and have a couple of things selling on Ebay. :T

I've deposited £20 on BB, so will withdraw that later and then try to have a few games with my £5 bonus!

Just off out now to meet up with some friends and their kids at a fireworks party. It's free, but there's a pie & pea supper. We won't need it as I was very MSE and made veggie Toad-in-The-Hole! :money: (that the kids didn't like - but I'll gloss over that fact, because when I got it out of the oven it looked AMAZING! :rotfl:)

Legs are aching like mad - so must have done some good :D

Have a nice evening everyone - will be back later, Mac x
