Fabulous diversion tactic
OK, well, my scan confirmed that I have had further changes that will be inhibiting weight loss/leading to weight gain so five days for results to go through and then I should be able to get a change to my drugs.
I know it sounds silly because I knew I was doing ''the right stuff'' but its a relief all the same.
That must be a real relief. Hopefully once the meds are sorted the scales will start to reflect all your hard work.0 -
Have to share this with you, because it made me  and :rotfl: at the same time (although not outwardly!).
Whilst in Asda today, I met another Mum whom I haven't seen for about a year. Our sons used to be in the same class in infant years 1 and 2 and we often bumped into one another whilst helping out at the school (our sons are both in year 4 now).
After chatting for a couple of minutes, she then asked me if I was pregnant again  Erm, no, I said, it's probably just the way this dress is cut :rotfl:
Oh dear, looks like I definitely need to shed a few pounds!

jack92 - I second what Rotherham Lass said!

Jack92 (((((hugs)))))
I was once out in town in a rather flowing hippy style dress which at the time was a favourite and I was stopped by a complete stranger and asked where I got my lovely maternity dress from
I went off the dress after thatI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Thanks everyone
I am prone to having a bit of a tummy and I can't even blame it on having had three babies because I had a round tummy *before* the children came along! I do try to steer clear of smock-type dresses because they do look like maternity clothes on me, but the dress I had on yesterday was fine, or so I thought...
I'm not upset about her comment, although it has helped focus me even further, but I keep on thinking about how *she* must feel because I know if I'd have made that comment, I'd be mortified :rotfl:

jack92, my weght doesn't sitt on my belly so much as everyone else, Fwiw to me a curvy belly is feminine, so if you always have ''a bit of a belly'' when slim too then it sounds feminine to me.:)
Well, guys, I had a shocking night, I only slept for about an hour and a half, and sleep is so good for weight loss, grr. Today I'm not going to do much (I was meant to get some horse feed but told dh we'll have to go and do that together tomorrow) today I'm just going to concetrate on keeping hydrated and calm, and have a quiet day and then hopefully sleep brilliantly tonight to it the weekend fighting. Wehave a great walk planned on sunday, which I'm looking forward to.0 -
Morning folks (ermmm, afternoon actually  )
Why is it that as soon as I decide to really focus on losing weight, I suddenly develop a social life???? Wed I was out with some girlfriends (slipped off the wagon a bit but was okay) last night DS invited me round to his place for dinner (would have been fine if only he didn't serve up MAN sized portions.. I did ask for half but I bet that creamy mash didn't do anything for my hips).
Tonight Ive been invited out to a 50th birthday bash - I'm the designated driver, so that's okay, but I bet there will be loads of un-slimming nibbles.
That's more nights out than I've had in the past several months put together!
On the upside - I made HM yogurt cheese today from skimmed milk (just waiting for it to set), so with a few carrot or celery battons I will have some fairly low cal snacks :-)I'm a retired employment solicitor. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, I think it is always the way! In my case I was just getting back to eating a reasonable amount again (feeling unwell and stopped eating!) well havig been to the docs (and been told off), I am on anti-b's that have to be taken at 6 hourly intervals - on an empty tum AND you can't eat for an hour afterwards , I managed 800 kcals yesterday *sigh* (and I can't drink )Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
