Here is my '7lb thread' history since February...

    1 Feb:135.6lbs 1 Mar: weight 133.2lbs 1 Apr: 133.4lbs 18 May: 128.5lbs :)23 June: 134.9lbs 1 July: 131.8lbs 1 Aug: 131.2lbs 1 Sept: 133.8lbs 1 Oct: 135.6lbs 1 Nov: 133.9lbs

It is very up and down as you can see, and I am only 1.8lbs lighter than I was 9 months ago!!! That has really given me a short sharp shock. I need to get real. I am still snacking too much and eating sugary junk. Something has to give.

I was out dancing with my friends the other night and realised how much I'd missed just having a boogie, and I did feel like I'd exercised afterwards - I was pretty sweaty. I might try dancing around the living room at home (if I can get rid of OH for a bit!), it really is good exercise. Off to bed on that positive note! Goodnight all.

    Me too please!

Seriously thinking about joining WW this week. I'm messing around a lot.....a week being strict, then losing the plot! Up and down, but I am a total of 4 and half pounds down from the beginning of September.

My BMI is 26.1, I'd dearly love to drop a stone in total, although anything off is a bonus! Thinking about a hol at New Year which would be a goal to aim at!

This thread is fab for keeping weight awareness to the fore of my mind. Thanks, dragon!!

BritRael, I just saw your thread - that diet book looks good, I am tempted to buy it.

Dragon - as promised, my starting weight for 1 November is 133.9lbs. So I lost 1.7lbs in October, hardly enough to set the world on fire but then I have been out for meals twice this week so can't moan too much. :o

Here's to a fab November for everyone, we can do it! xoxoxo

You wont regret it (er..providing you follow it :)).

My OH has tried loads of diets over the years and none have worked. She wrote to me in July (I work overseas) to tell me about this new diet she was on. I've heard it all before so I just replied "good for you, good luck" that sort of stuff. Yawn...

Anyway, a couple of friends e-mailed me to say that they'd seen my OH and she was looking really slimmer, and when I got home in September I couldn't believe the change. We had a good laugh on my first morning back when she got up to make breakfast and made this plate of bacon, eggs and toms. I said "is that your 'diet'??!!" :)
For years I've seen her with these little plates of food (calorie counting), and her complaining that she is starving herself and losing no weight. This was a pleasant surprise.

She tells me the only painful part was the start; a one week detox. This includes no caffeine which was tough on her as she loves tea and normally drinks it all day. After that though it seems to me to be eating as normal but losing weight at the same time. We've been together over ten years and this is the first time I've seen her go down dress sizes! ;)

There's also a book (by the same author) accompanying this one which has recipes in it, but my OH hasn't got that one yet. She just makes her own meals based on the method. Also, when we eat out (which we do often when I'm back) she just 'cherry-picks' the menu to suit the method.

    Good luck. :)

    I've upped my standards...so up yours! :)

Hi Dragon! Remember me? After a long absence, I'd like to join up again, if I may?

When I started this lark back last November (where did the year go?) I weighed 12 stone 8lbs. Over 5 months I dropped to 11stone 6lbs, and then life got in the way and I fell off the wagon.

This morning I weighed in at 12 stone on the nose. I always put weight on during the winter months so I really need to get focussed and reverse the trend!

I weighed in at 11st 7lb on the wii-fit earlier today, so that's my starting weight for the month. Today has been good so far, healthy breakfast and lunch although I did also eat a cookie, but importantly I managed to stop after just one cookie :j We're out tonight at a chinese restaurant celebrating a friend's 40th birthday, so I'm going to *try* to go for healthy options :D although we don't eat out very often so I'm not going to deny myself completely.

DH is back to work tomorrow, and children back to school. My "baby" is starting full-time in year R after doing half days since September - it will be the first time in 9 years that I haven't had a pre-schooler at home and I've got mixed feelings.

Bronnie - I've been seriously considering going back to WW too. Have you decided yet?
