    She's not a delusional liar. .

    Ohhhhh yes she is.

    (sorry, it's panto season again)

    But no, really, she is.

Stop bullying him Chucky, it's not fair. Can't be easy to explain how he'll accept anecdotals from someone and then find out they're a pile of total crock.

You seem an intelligent kinda gal julieq. Surely you can appreciate that both anecdotal information and statistical data can both be useful and unhelpful when looking to understand any situation?

My stats, graphs, charts and figures shows one story, anecdotal stories and opinions tells another. You can use both to form an opinion, wrongly or rightly.

You can wind Mewbie up all you like. He lives for this stuff, nothing makes him happier.

Carolt, it isn't so amusing. If it isn't upsetting her, it is starting to upset me.

But hey, if it makes you feel good.............

A bit of a banter and gentle mocking is fine. Course it is. It just sometimes feels like a bit of a nasty playground environment in here sometimes. Just my opinion of course which isn't really worth a lot.

More a question Cleaver of Mewbie explaining how he'll take anecdotals from Carol (because he agrees with her) but not from me without full data (which I supply as a rule). Anecdotal data is sometimes useful in understanding trends, but unless you back it up with hard evidence it's meaningless.

you're right your opinion isn't really worth a lot - probably only as much as mewbie's crusty primarni underpants.

seriously though - it does get very edgy and to be fair it isn't really worth it.
can you stop being so tactful in your posts please ;)

I think it's possibly your repeated use of the phrase 'ad hominem'. You'll have to ask him though.
