Load of new house prices for one area I'm tracking just come in. Am pleased to report that whatever is going on nationally, or even in average terms in my area, the sort of houses I'm looking at are still all coming in at 2004 prices - under 250K.
Were up to 350K at peak.

Care to share the location or is it purely anecdotal again with no information to back it up :wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

If that were true it would have been shouted from the rooftops.
Consequently as usual, it's not true though is it
Guess we'll have to wait until rewired is finished their thanking troll before we might get a response:wall:

Slightly off topic from anecdotal house prices, but I see they opened up a new shopping centre in Aberdeen.
Looks like they are not cutting back there.
It does seem to be spend spend spend.:wall:

Would be silly not to open it after they built it, and started building it in the boom, wouldn't it.
I mean, costing £275m to build, and it being worth now £178m is bad enough. But to not open it at all just because theres a recession on would only be more painful!
It's not like they built that in the last couple of weeks because Aberdeen is just the greatest ever place on earth.0 -

Once again you miss the point Graham.
It was not about the building itself, it was about the people queuing up to spend money during this recession, hence the pictures of how busy it was.:wall:
