"Oh, you mean the same f*cking shops that you find in every f*cking shopping centre and town all over the f*cking country?"
"Erm, yeah."
erm no.
i understand this shopping centre has new shops that are not found in the city, let alone other shopping centres
http://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/CouncilNews/ci_cns/pr_unionOp_291009.aspThe number of retailers new not only to Aberdeen, but to Scotland, demonstrates the potential in our local economy and confidence in Aberdeen's ability to leading Scotland's recovery.
This £275 million development, which has generated about 1,000 new jobs for Aberdeen, promises great things for the local economy and I look forward to seeing it and other sections of the retail and leisure industry in Aberdeen continuing to do well.":wall:

Load of new house prices for one area I'm tracking just come in. Am pleased to report that whatever is going on nationally, or even in average terms in my area, the sort of houses I'm looking at are still all coming in at 2004 prices - under 250K.
Were up to 350K at peak.

I realise some shopping has to be done. Food, petrol, occasional electrical items or shudder.. clothes. I go with a clear idea of what I want, ignore virtually everything else on display and buy it. Object to get in and out like a military precision operation. I am not a browser.
On the rare occasions I buy something that wasn't on the list I feel guilty and dirty. Spending money does not make me feel good. This is a rare slip into anecdotal - it is why I am more popular when pretending to be someone else.
Oh dear, I've just realised Mewbie is my OH :eek:0 -

I am the female you!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
OK...Worked out more..they seem to be queueing for Apple shop and pics show Apple shop full....it's a man thing.
My fiancee always drags me into the Apple store. Usually to tell me how great the iphone is and how it'd make a great xmas present.
She's probably hinting at something, but who knows with women right?

That picture is of Aberdeen airport with all the oil workers heading home.as not many of them are daft enougth to want to live there...dyce to the airport is all i ever knew and that was enough for me..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

Tbh the majority of offshore works come from Aberdeen/shire, Moray, Newcastle and Fife....... Can you honestly say any of those places are better?!0 -
I suspect the crowds have less to do with people desperate to spend their disposable income and more to do with looking for a way to put their day in.
I will slip into the ancedotal (I know I do it all the time, Mewbie, it is a woman thing).
When I worked in retail it used to baffle me how many people wandered round the shops on Boxing Day. One blasted day in the house with their families and they were so desperate to escape each others company they were willing to spend a public holiday annoying the frakk out of me.
To be fair they might have just been saving on the heating billsRetail is the only therapy that works0
