    Maybe she's trying to guage if you want it? Men can be hard to buy for if they have few hobbies/interests. :)

    Nah she knows I have little interest in them and reckon they're a rip. She wants one. :rolleyes:

    Wow. Totally can't believe this thread is still going, or indeed here at all. When I posted it, mse appeared to be going through some sort of hiccup, where it wouldn't let me quote and then ate all my posts and then stopped working altogether.

    And here it still is. How exciting! Had thought I was going to have to retype my OP, but in fact needn't have bothered, as it's all gone off-topic anyway - Merv in a bikini is about as off-topic as it can get.

    But glad that my arrival coincides with the discussion of important things like chocolate. :)

    Happy Friday night, all. Dropping after a hard half-term day at Mme Tussaud's followed by a work conference.

    Chocolate and a hot water bottle, that's what I need. And an early night. Ooops, missed that one by a bit. :)

    Care to share the location or is it purely anecdotal again with no information to back it up :rolleyes:

    it seems the usual has happened ISTL... fictional anecdotal without any evidence... :think:

    Please feel free to bring it back on topic by disclosing the area such that we can discuss it in more detail as queried in post 3 ;)

    Because, given the number of nutters who haunt my posts, I'm going to disclose exactly where I live, aren't I.

    Sorry, I'd rather discuss chocolate.

    You want the gloater's thread, ISTL - that's one of Hamish's, I believe.
  • Do you think people off here will go to the area, say Brixton for example, and be on the lookout for a woman called Carolt? Unless you walk around with a name badge with "Carolt" in large red letters, I should imagine you're pretty safe.

    I am sure that you know this and so all I can deduce is that you dont want to give away the area because it will undermine your statement. The trouble is that your refusal to provide the area has already undermined your argument anyway. It's a little bit like a drunk driver refusing to take a breath test, it doesn't help because the authorities simply assume he is guilty and act accordingly.

    That's a really strange post, Harry, from the very same persoon who told me off on this very same forum, can't have been more than a couple of weeks ago, for giving out too many of my personal details, and warned me not to do it again.

    I just can't work that out.

    Could you explain what you meant then, Harry, or what you mean now?

    erm no.

    i understand this shopping centre has new shops that are not found in the city, let alone other shopping centres

    The list of shops from their website:
    * AB10
    * Apple
    * Azendi
    * Barrhead Travel
    * Boots
    * Cineworld
    * Clarks
    * Cotswold
    * Cult
    * Exquisite Design
    * Faith
    * Fat Face
    * H&M
    * Hobbycraft
    * Instyle Furniture
    * Jack & Jones
    * JD Sports
    * Lab Sport
    * Mamas and Papas
    * Marks and Spencer
    * New Look
    * Next
    * Ollie & Nic
    * Outfit
    * Pandora
    * Paperchase
    * Rox
    * Sole Trader
    * Swatch
    * TK Maxx
    * TM Lewin
    * Urban Kids
    * USC
    * Vero Moda
    * Zara

    Zara? Apple? TK Maxx? Next? USC? JD Sports? H&M? New Look? Boots? Come on ISTL, it's hardly a farmers market or local entrepreneurs selling their craft is it?

    As I said in my first post, it has the same shops as everywhere else. This isn't me rubbishing the shopping centre or Aberdeen, more a comment on British retail. Dull dull dull, same same same, safe safe safe. Nothing against any of those shops, I'm just bored witless of them and sick of having to make a real effort to find anything different. Why on earth anyone would queue up to go to shops that they could find anywhere in the whole of the UK is beyond me and is a bit of a symbol of our odd society.
    * ASK
    * Chiquito
    * Costa
    * Frankie and Benny's
    * Handmade Burger
    * Nando's
    * Pizza Hut
    * Spur Steak and Grill
    * Starbuck's
    * Tinderbox
    * YO! Sushi

    Good lord, the list of restaurants is even worse. Identikit box-eateries for people with no imgaination who lost the will to live years ago. Or 23 year olds in sportswear going on dates.

    Nandos. For f*ck's sake.
