Hi, from what I read you can use more than one pack at a time together at BSM is that right.

Yes, it is. I used 2 x 4 hours on Tuesday, and am taking a further 3 x 1 hours in today.

For those who don<t know.If halfords sell out of these packs you can get a x6 hourly driving lessons{bsm} and x2 goes on the simulator for £60 worth of clubcard deals(normally £240].which works out similar price to the above offer but is always available.I have been saving my tesco points for childs 21st birthday but if I can get the halfords one I might use the tesco points for something else.

    a) are BSM and Halfords the same company?
    b) why don't halfords just bin/burn these vouchers rather than lose money on them?
FWIW I'm pretty sure they are not the same company, BSM have recently been taken over (see rac website links)

The BSM vouchers have serial numbers that are registered and used by BSM. These kits are likely old stock and it'll be easier to flog em off cheap than document and return the stock to BSM to take all those serial number vouchers off their system :)

So my advice would be to make sure you have them stamped or proof of purchase and don't 'sit on them' too long.

    Hope that helps someone.

I rushed to my local store too only to be told they had sold out.

However, am I glad I didnt buy them, because my other half said they wouldnt have used them anyway?.
He is fussy about who teaches him, and he says he would rather find somebody privately who he can go back to time and time again rather than use a different instructor each time as is often the case with BSM. Oh well.

They would have to take them , nothing in there T&C to say otherwise , you are actually buying BSM prepaid lessons from Halfords.

Bought 5 more hours today so 30 hours total. I think I will leave it there as some people have told me 20 was enough for them, some people told me 50 could be needed, and the DSA site says 45 are needed.

I left one X 2 hour kit in Bradford Forster Sq this afternoon. The store manager (who served me) told me he had not stamped one of the vouchers in about a year or more. They may actually have more kept in stock as there wasn't room for any more than what was on display.

@Dealmad, keep looking I am sure you will find some but now this afternoon/evening is best. Earlier the better, there will definitely be fewer available after the weekend. Just go further afield. I have noticed in West Yorkshire a few Halfords are easy walking distance from train stations, like Wakefield, Bradford F Sq, Pontefract Tanshelf. Halifax and Huddersfield might be a bit of a walk but still walking distance.

Came up on till full price but they discounted them so dunno if code he used was different or prices are not on a national system?

Now... What do to with all those highway codes (the highway code was actually revised in 2004 so in these kits it is out of date). The L plates (well they could have some amusing uses). Those how to pass the test books, dated 2003 so will not include the show and tell bits of test, and the theory test CD Roms dated 2003.

Was rather amusing looking at the Halfords L plates for something like £3.99 and buying a kit for £7.49 with L plates and a 1 hour lesson lol.

By that time they'll have a much reduced validity period.

Please people don't just buy them to stick on Ebay to make some cash. Some people actually want some lessons that otherwise they would be unable to afford to go from lessons to test. They aren't just there as an easy way to make a quick buck for people who could otherwise work and pay income tax.sylm_2000 has the best Idea selling on at cost price. If you want to make money on Ebay buy lots of kitkats, or list yourself as a servant :rotfl:

Am sure I will figure out what to do with unused vouchers if the need arises. Apparently if you book a test in Leeds it takes a good few months from booking to the actual test so I might need them and more to keep practicing.

Not sure ppl would want an out of date highway code lol and books cost alot to send in post..
