  • Well doen Skint Catt and Jennipenni!

I couldn't choose between a jacket potato or wine yesterday so we went out to Nando's for dinneri nstead. I was quite good - had chicken (obviously) but left the skin :( with salad no chips or garlic bread or dessert.

On a positive note I can almost do up my dress for my gala dinner in january so I am very happy!

Well doen C (though I already congratulated you on the other side!):D

I lost 3.5 lbs, making a total of 11 lbs since I started 4 weeks ago.

    That's a fab loss - well done you! :T

Ah, the dark side! :shhh: :rotfl:

Caroline, that must be a fab feeling! Stick with it and you'll be a stunner in that dress (piccies pls!) :D

Off to the Frankfurt Market in Birmingham today - it's not looking good (brockwurst, fried potato's & mushrooms, hot choc with amaretto or baileys, sweeties, stollen etc etc I won't be eating it all today but even so!), but the moment I leave there I'll be back on track! Got 7lbs to my next target!

Well done Skint Catt and Jennipenni- all these losses are very encouraging!

I normally weigh in on a Sunday morning before the gym, but going to be away at my parents' this weekend and don't trust their scales not to differ too much from mine so going to leave it til next Sunday. At least it should be easy to stay on track while we're there as my mum's doing SW too - already put in our order for veggie curry and rice for when we get there on Thurs night! :D

    Hey everyone.

Catt - rock that market dude:D

I have 5 pounds to get rid of til I am under 13 stone (although I console myself with the fact that I weigh myself at tea-time, with clothes on - so first thing in the morning I MUST be lighter right?! :rotfl:)

My lightest since having children has been 12 stone 5lbs - but actually I am perfectly happy at 12 stone 7lbs. Every size 14 fits me around that weight(apart from pencil skirts - but like WHEN does a mother of three wear a pencil skirt?). I know this probably sounds really heavy to some people - but it was despair at ever reaching a size 12 which led to a LOT of comfort eating. Not going down that road again!

  • I ate a mince pie! It's down hill from here unless I reign it in immediately. How many points is an average mince pie?

If you were standing up it's syn-free:rotfl:

Sorry - stupid joke. Mince pies are many many syns - someone with access to the syns calculator will tell you - but just don't eat another and you should be ok. If you have already eaten another - let yourself enjoy the 'full of mince pie' feeling and get straight back to food optimising;)

Just dropping by to say hi. Have been a member of SW since August and in that time have only lost 11lbs. But I know I haven't been following the plan properly and that if I do the weight should come off a lot faster, especially since I am exercising a good bit at the minute.

Anyway I have my meeting tonight and have decided I'm going to follow it PROPERLY for the next week (green plan since I'm veggie). This is the first week that I've really felt able to focus properly on it - autumn is a really busy time at work and it's felt like all I can do to keep the exercise regime going.

I really want to lose weight - I turn 40 next year (gulp) and also have 2 close friends getting married so plenty of motivational events.

I think I'm going to need support though, I know I've been comfort eating and it's only the exercise keeping me on the losing side at all. Sounds like you are all doing really well and I'm hoping your positivity will infect me when I feel like snacking :)

PS for info, starting weight, 12st 10.5, current weight 11st 13.5 (might be up 1lb tonight though!) At 11st 9 I'm overweight rather than obese so that was my first target :)
  • How is everyone today? Hope everyone is feling motivated & healthy!

Nic2075 - you shoudl still WI, even if you think you have out on. You need to keep the control, and need to face the damage done. Im sure it will spur you on to be better this week! I WI no matter what, so I can SEE what my binging has done to my progress, then i can draw a line under & start afresh. :)
