I have been guilty of compulsive scale abuse this last week (ok since I started SW over a year ago!) and despite being 100% last week and losing 3lbs, this week I have been 100% again and it looks as though I have lost just 1/2 - 1lb (WI night tonight), but I do "feel slimmer" which is an odd balance.

It's very true what larmy said - your weight can alter by the hour due to all sorts of complicated reasons, so jumping on the scales every day really doesn't prove anything at all and can be quite counter-productive.
The only sensible way is to weigh once a week on the same scales, at the same time of day, wearing roughly the same clothes. This gives you a much truer picture of what you're achieving.
It is quite well known in SW that on weeks when you don't lose pounds on the scales, you tend to lose inches. This is one of the reasons we recommend new members to take their measurements when they start at group and monthly thereafter.
Having lost 3lbs last week (which is an excellent loss) it would be unusual to lose more than a pound or so this week. The average for the 2 weeks is 2lbs a week which is at the top end of the recommended weekly loss so well done youI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I forgot to take my measurements0

Have had trouble in the past with binge eating.
OK, what are you wanting to binge on? If it's chocolate, make yourself a big mug of Options using 2 sachets. It's lovely and chocolatey and only 4 syns for the 2 lots.
If it's savoury stuff you want, how about making up some pasta n sauce or (my personal favourite) a jacket potato with egg mayonnaise in. If you use the lightest Hellmans and lots of pepper, it's really yummy and very filling.
If it's booze you want I'm afraid I'm stuck except to say have one, mix it with a sugar-free mixer and make it last. Sorry I don't drink much at all so I don't really know how to overcome that particular urge. :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

That's ok, take them now - it's never too late
Catt have you chosen a wedding dress yet? Perhaps a picture of your ideal one on the fridge might help you resist those extras you fancy.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Anything & everything except booze - I have to pick my OH up at the airport in a hour!
Krisprolls (god they are gorgeous!), chcocolate biscuits (leftover from WI night when a few were my treat - I finished the huge packet tonight), Pringles (ditto the chocie biccies), chicken (I'm on a green day), mayo (with the chicken & krisprolls), mince pies (Glenfiddich smell DELIGHTFUL and smell better - saved the last 2 for my OH)
Think I've finished now as OH will be home. More in control when hes here. 5 days to pull it back....0 -

I will take them now
No, I can't bear the thought of me trying dresses on until I've lost at least 3 stone. Was hoping for 2 stone by Xmas but I'm losing soooo slowly it won't happen0 -
Well I'm no Barbie (36-18-33)
More like 2/3 barbies moulded together! :eek:0 -

Morrisons sell the Pagan Crisprolls. I saw them today and thought of you but it seems that you've found them anyway.
Hmm, you're having a bad time. The best advice I can give is to not buy the Pringles/chocolate biccies/mince pies - if they're not in the house you can't eat them. I know that's not always practical advice, but it is much easier than having to rely on your willpower to keep you on track.
Keep thinking about the wedding - pin up a picture of a beautiful bride and make it as easy on yourself as possible. My OH couldn't have anything when I was working hard towards my target. He used to get his biscuits and crisps while out driving so I didn't have to look (or smell them) :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
My treat in the evening now is the bowl of pudding rice with a little milk from my a.
Topped with 2T Elmlea plus 1T Tate and Lyle golden syrup/maple syrup I sometimes have it for breakfast. It is so filling and satisfies that sweet urge - 4 syns the lot. Far better than some measly little chocolate bar.
Maybe we ought to take up doing a bit of sewing, even if it is practicing straight lines!
Another good thing is doing some colouring in (without going over the lines!) that tends to focus the mind away from wolfing down something that you will regret later.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I managed not to binge. We have stuff in the house cos it was my DD's birthday the other day. So there is HM cake, jaffa cakes, choc fingers, chocolate in the house.
I had a shower. Then I had 2 satsumas & my HeB Alpen lights! Phew.
I was a terrible binge eater in the past. Anorexia & bulemia are recognised disorders but binge eating isn't. The stuff I used to gorge on....I feel so ashamed!
