well, I did it, I joined SW this evening at 5.30 pm class. As a bonus, I met a dear friend there who I haven't seen for ages, so it was a lovely surprise. She has lost 3.5 stone :T

The food plan looks great - I will be sticking with the green as I am vegetarian. Bought the free branded and 100 green recipe books and have a Huge jacket potato in the microwave at the moment ready to eat.

Sorting out my packed lunch for tomorrow later and going to have the pasta quiche and salad for evening meal tomorrow.

I'm hoping that I will keep organised and disciplined as that will help me to follow this food plan. :j
  • Welcome to the SW world dollydee! Hope you have an enjoyable time! The plan really is fab and what a bonus to have a met an old friend that will be an inspiration!
  • Skint, I know its not as much as you would like, and I cant comment on what will happen next week, but you have to keep in mind what you dont want for your wedding.. I hope you do keep your chin up. I only lost a pound this week and that was after it was suggested i remove my scarf and cardi. I am on the verge of giving up, as I find it really difficult to constantly think about what I can and what I cant eat, but you seem so switched on to everything, I feel your determination is not floundering at all. Good luck for this week, and you are inspiring so many people on here, I hope we can inspire you.

I'm soooooo disheartened :( Had my first 100% week - was SO good and said no to loads of things I would normally have given in to. Just feel after all the sacrifices I deserved more than the 1lb I got tonight. Couldn't even bring myself to stay to class tonight I'm so upset. I've got so much weight to lose and 1lb a week isn't enough to get me anywhee near my target by my wedding day. I so don't want to be a fat bride

Sorry - had a really bad day all in all :(

Hi, can I just say that your helpful posts were a deciding factor for me to join SW and I am really grateful to you for that, as I feel that I can really change my life now and improve my health.
  • i felt compelled to post because I too have noticed how helpful and encouraging you are to everyone on this....so now it's one of those times when the rest of us have to egg you on, Skint Catt.!
I know EXACTLY how you feel.....a while back I went away for the weekend and acted like a total freak, all in the name of SW (I made my OH eat his takeaway pizza on the stairwell of the hotel as I sat inside the hotel room eating a SW meal I'd brought in the boot of the car. Oh, and it was our anniversary! what a loser) When I got back and had weigh-in and STS, I almost cried. SO unfair! But hey, onwards and upwards. Keep at it and you'll be a winner, I just know it!

Aw, thanks to all of you for your support - you've made me cry!!! I know it works and I will stick at it. I also know well enough that there are always glitches. I'll be back at it with a vengence tomorrow but tonight I'm just feeling tired & emotional!
Been one of them weeks - and it's only Tuesday! My heel came off my fave boot yesterday in the middle of crossing the road, the engineer didn't show up last night to fix the heating, money's tight for Xmas & my redundancy is running out (putting far too much pressure on my OH who works 300 miles away while I sit on my fat !!!!) & I found out today my Mum's been having panic attacks & went for an ECG (she's just not that sort of person and my Dad's carer) - it's all scared me.
I've had SW-friendly-ish HM pizza (with mushrooms/chorizo) & oven chips tonight - I saved 40 syns from last week to have this so draw a line under it and keep going!
Thanks again to you all. C xx
  • Hey C, 2 weeks ago I had a low loss (1.5lbs) and was so gutted considering how hard I worked at it. Following week I lost 5.5lbs! YOu know bloody well that this works an dyou will NOT be a fat bride! If you hadnt worked hard at the plan last week, you would have not lost that 1lb, you would have probably put it ON. Find something that weighs a pound and hold it your hand for awhile and realise how awesome just a pound loss is :)

Hi Skint_catt. Just want to say I know exactly how you feel today. I have managed 9 100% days in a row. I weighed in tonight which was 2 days early because i am away, and I gained a pound. I was (am) gutted. I'm just hoping its because I weighed on different scales and in jeans rather than my work uniform. Thats what i'm telling myself anyway. I'm going to aim to carry on with my 100% days until weigh in next week and hope that I have a really good loss. Fingers crossed for you too.

    Hello everybody

The weather doesn't help does it?

Been a bit picky and snacky .. you know the odd bit of fresh bread and butter (couldn't resist), the odd bowl of Ben and Jerry's (ditto). I need 3 good 100% days before Saturday to straighten things out. So that is what I'm going to do! (shouts at self).

Well done everyone who's lost and sending lots of motivation to everyone who hasn't. Have a good day.
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
