i think she said it because she was a new consultant - first night at our group and there were loads of new members so she gave us all a new members talk.

i think she was trying to say everyone could lose more than 1lb per week to encourage the new people.

i thought it was a stupid thing to say cause surely 4/5lb losses can't happen everyweek when i only have a stone to lose.

You're right, 4/5lb losses can't happen every week for anyone, let alone someone with only a stone to lose. We have to be realistic and more than 2lbs as a regular loss is highly unusual unless the member has 10+ stones to lose.

Losing weight too fast often means losing muscle tissue which can cause your metabolism to alter and make it harder to lose weight at all.

Please believe that your 1lb loss is great and you'll be at your target in no time - Christmas permitting :rotfl:

Hi Consultant - I am living in the south now (Bournemouth) but moved here from North of Scotland.

Ooh a lovely part of the country you're in......and a bit warmer than the top of Scotland I'm sure.

Skint_Catt, have you got a tin of tomatoes in? They will boil down to a thick paste if you cook them long enough. They make a lovely tomato topping then you could top with anything left in the bottom of fridge....onion, bits of cooked veg, cheese (HEA), scrapings off a chicken carcass even, lol.

  • Forgive me SW girls I have sinned. It's been 8 weeks since my last weigh in!

I stopped going to class because IT was pointless (I don't get motivated by a consultant saying - so you lost 1lb this week, what did you do? or A slight gain this week, what will you do differently? Listening to 30 people saying the same thing week after week after week) I used togo to different class many years ago and it was great. We used to share recipes, bring in packets from ready meals that were free foods etc

Anyway, I have bought a fab dress for an event on 6th January and I can't do it up properly so I need to make the effort.

I was a good girl yesterday, meals a bit disorganised as I worked through the night!

Original - He A was a lump of cheese, Heb alpen lights x 4 (ate through out my night shift) bacon, sausage x 2(5.5 sins each), mushrooms and an egg. Fruit snacks.

Today is green - Bowl of Fruitnfibre HE a & B, Banana, corn and red pepper chowder from one pot recipes, tonight is roast beef (HEB and bit more as sins) veg and dry roast pots, gravy as more sins.

I've meal planned for the rest of week so will be ok!

I'm soooooo disheartened :( Had my first 100% week - was SO good and said no to loads of things I would normally have given in to. Just feel after all the sacrifices I deserved more than the 1lb I got tonight. Couldn't even bring myself to stay to class tonight I'm so upset. I've got so much weight to lose and 1lb a week isn't enough to get me anywhee near my target by my wedding day. I so don't want to be a fat bride

Sorry - had a really bad day all in all :(

Awww I'm sorry Skint, but try not to feel so down, 1lb is better than nothing and you never know, you might have an even bigger loss next week? chin up!!!

Dude - I know it feels really horrible, especially after trying so hard BUT YOU KNOW IT WILL SHOW NEXT WEEK IF YOU STICK WITH IT:A

Don't give up - and try not to eat a load of stuff tonight that you wouldn't otherwise. Just keep going- 7 more days.

  • :grouphug: aww Catt, i really hope you can keep your chin up hun and say, well next week all my hard work IS going to show!! Its very dishearteningwhen our bodies betray us and other weeks when we syn like mad we lose much more than we should. I have learned over the years that eventually it does even itself out.
Think of it this way, you still lost half a bag of sugar in weight, thats not to be sniffed at.

I think its just pot luck to be honest. Chin up xx
