aerobic exercise (running/cross trainer etc) is the only way I think to get rid of tummy weight - that's my problem area. Sits up will improve the muscle tone but only when you've got rid of the wobbly top layer (well mine is anyway!)
flexi syns is just setting yourself a higher limit for the day - say between 60 - 100. It's NOT saving up your syns, or going without them the next day but just keeping 'in control' that night.0 -
Its almost the weekend :-) Im a bit worried today, going on training and the place that runs the course does lovely hot home cooked food. They have a salad bar so I may have to stick to that unless there is something sw friendly. I will definatley choose right for dessert and have fruit! Eeeek got to have extra will power today!0

Maybe they will have a nice baked potato with a sw filling, at least you can enjoy something hot and not feel left out. If you have your latte skinny and small, you could count it as a HEA (don't add syrups or you'll have to count syns), but the lowest syn biccy I can find is the almond biscotti which are 219 calories for one, making it in the region of 11 syns  and the skinny lemon poppy seed muffin is 390 cals (about 19 syns).
If I were you I'd declare your birthday a flexible syn day - allow yourself as many syns as you think you'll need (include everything you will want to eat and drink)) and just enjoy it. The following day get straight back on track. It will not spoil your slimming campaign, just delay it by one day.
Enjoy and Happy Birthday when it comes
Hi
Thanks for the reply
Ocht! Dam starbucks! lol
Oh well I will resign myself not to having a biccie will jsut stick to my skinny latte (hate any kind of syrup so that shouldn't be a problem) think im jsut gonna take an Alpen Lite bar instead.
Good plan think that's exatly what I'll do. Sadly we're going for tapas which I've never had before and have heard thats its pretty fattenning so im gonna try my hardest to find some salad stuff and low syn things. Also having some birthday cocktails :T eek!
Thanks i will most defo enjoy it and will straight back on to the plan on Thursday

1 large butternut squash
1 large onion
2 pints water
½ tspn curry powder (I used Balti spice blend)
½ tsp ground ginger
2 heaped tspns chicken Bovril
Peel, de-seed and chop the squash into 1” chunks.
Microwave for 10 mins.
Dry fry the chopped onion in Fry Light for 2 mins.
Add curry powder & ginger & cook for a further 1 minute.
Stir in the cooked squash and add the Bovril mixed with 2 pints of boiling water.
Bring to the boil, and then simmer for 15 mins.
Puree in blender and serve.
Yum, thanks for this, I am going to make it with my pumpkin over the weekend. Pumpkin and butternut are pretty similar.
Going for a thai lunch today. I usually have a prawn stirfry with rice. Am estimating about 6.5 syns - is that fair?
I think it will be lower than a red/green curry with all that coconut milk.0 -

hi, i just bought the magazine and really want to try to loose 1 1/2 stone. problem is i don't have a club near me, closest is 350 miles away and needs a plane or ferry!
anyway can you explain a few things? i am a veggie so can't do the original days, will it still work if i just do the green days or try to substitute original day things with quorn (yuck!).
also can antone tell me how many syns are in sunbites, yogurt go-aheads and the ones that come in 3's with sugar on top?!!
and a final thing, i only drink lacto-free milk, would the quantity of the allowance go up,down,or stay the same?0
