  • Morning All

I made it. Had a gallery opening last night free wine and nibbles so before hand we had tea and then when i got there I brought a diet coke and that was it, no wine no nibbles, even though everyone there was trying to give me wine but NO. Didn't have the syns for it plus, if I'm good this week I can enjoy my saturday away. Saving a few syns.

Todays menu is a Green day.

    I have/had
Quorn Saus and omlette for brekkie.
broccoli pasta (ingre: pasta broc mushroom 28g chedder HEA 1TBSP light mayo) for lunch yummy - 1 syn for mayo -(will have to check that when I get to work before i get going).
Snacks Alpen Light HEB, apple, banana.
For tea, Quorn Spag Bol. yUM
All washed down with plent of water.

Keep your chin up all who have put on, it happens to everyone and the way I see it, its usually all the moons fault depending on where you are in the month.

Hope you all have a good day

  • Hi all, I haven't posted here in a while, but have been lurking and I need some encouragement I think. I have been on and off SW over the summer - mainly losing and gaining the same 2lbs, but was fairly comfortable with that.

I got back from holiday last week and while I was away I felt that I just didnt like how I felt or looked, so made some good eating decisions while on hols and decided to do something about it when I got back.

Weighed in when I got back and found I had lost 1.5lbs which is nice considering the number of G&T's I had most nights! I *only* want to lose about 10-12lbs in total, but I find it very difficult.

Well, taking inspiration from Skint_Catt's 100% days, I have taken each day at a time and tried to be 100% and have kept a food diary. In the last week I had only 1 day which wasnt 100% when I had 17.5 syns, otherwise I try to limit my daily syns to 10. Most days syns were around 7 with a couple nearer to 15. I have stuck to mainly green days, drink a minimum of 1.5 litres of water a day at work (+ at least 2 cups of tea and drinks when I get home) and have been having at least 1 HEB (usually scan bran cake) and 1 HEA - so why oh why did I put on 1.75lbs this week?

I am really gutted as I have been really good - and havent even had a drink this week as was feeling a bit under the weather and wanted to have a good go at SW.

    My typical menu would be:

B: Muller or LF yog w/ either rice or scan bran cake
    S: apple & banana
    L: soup w/ ryvita/baked pot/veg chilli/pasta then muller
    S: apple
    D: pasta/tuna pasta bake/veg lasagne/quorn sausages with veg

Can any one suggest owt? I would hate to do another week of this and put on even more :-(

Thanks (sorry this is a long post).

Are you eating enough? Or getting enough variety - scan bran cake is syns aswell as a HEb but you need to change this occasionally otherwise your body gets complacent! I live on what you eat when I'm not doing SW - so I have to do red's now to get a weight loss. Maybe try reds or EE for a few days this week?

My menu for today - EE (ish!) as it's WI day
Egg & baked beans for brekkie
banana/grapes as snacks (typical for me to eat the most fattening fruits!)
meatballs & SW chips tonight after WI.
Am taking note of Flat Erics 'treat' speech and going to be good tonight with just a double decker (14 syns) and 28g of Pringles (6 syns) for me tonight which are my syns saved from yesterday & today anyway. Bring on 2 stone loss for Christmas (though it's looking less likely now!) :j
  • Afternoon all, half a pound on for me this week but phew!! thank goodness, i was expecting a lot more on after what i ate last week.
Peachy nice to see you back where ya been? lol (nosey i am), well done to all this weeks losers, welcome to all the new posters and chin up and a big hug for all gainers and sts's.
Just going to make a scan bran cake for my comfort food this week, am thinking soups, slow cooked stews, marions rice, scan bran carrot cake, and maybe a couple of tbsp of low fat custard to go on it.( sounds really stodgy but i will make sure i have plenty water/fruit/veg and fibre thrown in with that lot).

Ok, I'm going to make you all sick now and say I weighed in last night and lost SEVEN pounds! I thought maybe 3, four if I was lucky, never imagined it would be 7! It is my first week back after a 3 month break though, and I do have a lot to lose (3-4 stone I think).

Now I'm really worried that I wont do very well this week :S Aiming for another 100% week and nothing in the way of that so far, but I think I'll be really disappointed if I only lose a pound or so. I know it's better to lose it slowly, and you should look at the weight loss over a period of weeks, but I know I get disheartened when I don't do so well! Anyway, the slimmer of the week bowl is calling my name for next week so that's my motivation!
Hugs to everyone struggling - remember you can do it, you're the only one in control of this

    Hi

I joined SW last week and had my first WI last night and had gained 1/2lb. I was disappointed but not surprised.

I had been doing WW until about a month ago and was amazed when I joined SW that my weight was the same as my last WI with WW as I had been on holiday and ate whatever I liked, plus had got into the habit of eating biscuits at work. I have less than a stone to lose so realise it will be slow.

I am tempted to do mainly green days, but realise red days will probably speed my weight loss.
