stef - don't worry - if your friend wasn't good on her nights out at the pub it will catch up with her!
Savoury rice is fab - I love it! The tesco value one is free and is as good as Batchelors! Also give Mugshots a go - the 1% ones are free (all the noodle ones and the tomato pasta one) - they're like pasta cup a soup and great for the winter! Also hard boiled eggs make a good snack though sometimes they smell a bit!0 -

Hi,
Yeah that's what she said too bout it catching up with her next week if she wasn't careful this week!
Ooh thats good then I might try the Tesco Value one. I take it all the Savory Rice flavours are free?
I love Mugshots! Tho only ever had the chicken ones (which I like but wont eat now cos I ve realised they've got sweetcorn in them and I hate sweetcorn! lol) and the cheese ones which are my fav but am thinking that that one won't be free?
Eggs! What a great idea I never thought of that!
For my brekkie this morning instead of having my usual Weetabix or yog and fruit I had 1oz of porridge oats which think is one HEb?

Cheese one (my fave too) is 2 syns on green, they are all quite high on red, but 2 syns isn't too bad for a treat.
I struggle with work too, but I think being very good every day in work has made the difference for me, I used to live on beans on toast (proper toast, with butter) and I really miss it but I'd say it was doing me a lot of damage!!0 -
:j:jWoop woop! 100% day yesterday - against ALL the odds.
BRING IT ON!!!Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

I go to an evening class on a thurs nite pretty much straight from my work (I have about an hour and a half to spare so I don't bother driving home to come back in again).
Should I wait till I get home (at half 9) and have an extremely late tea? (and being hungry in my class as im used to eating no later than 6.30pm) Or pick something up from the supermarket that I can eat in the car? Really don't wanna resort to having a takeaway.
It cant be a ready meal or something that invloves any cooking as obv no access to facilites, already had toast for lunch so a sandwhich is out of the question. I was thinking some kind of cooked meat from the hot deli counter thing where they do the roast chickens?
It can be for any day
Many Thanks

Mmm made a huge pot of soup in my slow cooker overnight, and just a bowlful. Just what I needed on a drecht day like today! Also had a salmon salad, and I am so stuffed now.
I am going to make the garlic lemon chicken recipe tonight, that was in this months magazine free calander. It looks yummy!
Well donestefd! You could maybe buy a piece of ready cooked chicken, and discrad the skin. Can you nto maybe make up some savoury rice or couscous befire you go to work, an dtake it in a tupperware tub & have that?0 -

The chicken and bits that are cooked on the hot deli counter aren't usually free (they are injected with oil or something so taking the skin off doesn't make them free) but if you have anything in mind in particular I can look the syn value up for you.
What day are you doing? Can you get a mugshot or anything and hot water from the vending machine at college? Or pick up some Alpen Ligth bars - 3 syns each to tide you over until you get home? Or does the supermarket have a salad counter?0 -
crikey, have been told over at minimins that I am not eating enough fruit & veg! I dont enjoy fruit much, should I be forcing myself to eat it? I make meals 1 third super free food, which is mostly veg anyway. Lunch is always served with veg soup and/or salad, evening meals have a ton of veg in them. Any tips on how to up my fruit & veg intake would be great!0

If you make your meals with mostly veg and some fruit already, plus your soup, your probably quite balanced and healthy over the week. If you felt like you should eat some more then maybe chopping up some apples, satsumas and grapes and just graze everytime you come into the kitchen or watching tv, or maybe make a wee treat with defrosted berries with greek yoghurt and a merangue nest. At least it wont feel like a chore. I eat loads of fresh fruit in the summer but struggle in the winter, especially as I try not to buy strwberries this time of year as I think their getting tastless. Your menus look ok to me especially if you look over the whole week, not just a couple of days.missjennipenni wrote: »crikey, have been told over at minimins that I am not eating enough fruit & veg! Jenni it sounds like you're doing ok to me! I wouldn't force yourself to eat anything (even scan bran!) otherwise you'll start to hate the plan! You're getting plenty of veg and if you're not keen on fruit, you're not keen on it!0
