Okay well the bad news first - 3.5lb on. Mind you our slimmer of the week was someone who had lost 0.5lb
so I think it was a common enough story. And the consultant herself had put on 4.5 over the hol period.
She did the newbie talk to us all which was probably a good idea, and I am now properly committed to it again. Gonna re read the books in bed tonight. I think I need to come up with some new handy and freezable meal ideas, especially some that involve green or puy lentils since I discovered a stack of them out of date when I was clearing out the food cupboardAny ideas very welcome, I'm veggie so nothing that means padding them out in meat...
iceicebaby I guess you're living up to your nameit does sound grim but try to draw a line under it and start again tomorrow...
Finally for info it was £45 for the 12 week programme - held at 09 levels for January I think..0 -
Can you pad quorn stuff out with them? Quorn chilli/curry? They make great freezer meals - I always double up when I cook these and they make very quick meals another night! Same with quorn/veg lasagne .
Hope you're warm now IIB! Horrible ot having heating in this weather! It's going to be -10 here tonight so I'm off to bed shortly to get warm too.0 -
Im sitting in bed in jamas, socks, dressing gown, a slanket, another blanket around my shoulders and my duvet! wrapped round me!
Warm except for my fingers and my nose!
Still waiting for engineer to call back ...............................Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -
WOW its cold out there. Im back form WI and had dinner and defrosted myself.
I managed to put on 7 1/2 lbs over xmas. Im alomst back at the weight I was when i first started almost 2 years ago. Things were going well until I moved house, the oh got a job working away so I comfort ate in the evenings and binged and 'treated' ourselves at the weekend. I can only blame myself.
So this is a new start, and this is the year I do it and get to that 10 stone target. We got engaged last August and had planned to get married this year, but OH 's job finished and he hasnt got a new one yet. Plus theres no way I want to get married the way I feel. So hopefully if things go well we may aim for the end of this year. Ive already bought my dress, way back in September. I cant fit into it anymore, so thats my first goal. To lose a stone and try my dress on again.
Oh is going SW with me again. He lost 2 1/2 stone in 3 months when we did it properly last Nov. So at least we can encourage each other.
btw, this was the first night at this new class, I felt so much happier there. A good atmosphere and the consultant was helpful, motivating and funny. The only thing is she told everyone that its fine to get a rotisarrie(sp) chicken from the supermarket, take all the skin off it, and eat it all for free. Im sure those chickens are pumped with sugar and oil? I didnt say anything but all the newbies were grinning like maddies thinking of a whole hot chicken in the car in the way home.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Hi nic, glad to hear you had such a good evening and that your so focussed for this year! Let nothing get in your way of the perfick wedding (yeah I know I can't take my own advice lol)
Hmm, sad to hear she didn't know about the rotisserie chickens but maybe you could mention it to her in passing - say you 'heard' that they were injected with oil. She might check with SW HQ.

Evening everyone - IIB sorry you have had such a horrible day - hope the engineer calls soon.
Plan going OK - but am feeling like such a slug! No exercise to speak of - wrist playing up again, snow, ice and the rugrats off school doesn't make for a good combination. Should have gone for a walk today before everything freezes over - but was chained to the computer upstairs getting some work done - and I had guilt pangs when I stopped to get everyone lunch:rotfl:
Today has been meat/fish heaven since 1911 at Rupe Towers - trying to get my EE meals right!
Breakfast was lean bacon, eggs and tomatoes (mmmm)
Tea was salmon, roasted veg and a jacket potato (double mmmm)
but lunch was 2 Oatibix and a yogurt and banana!:rotfl:I really couldn't think of what to do - my head was full of emails that needed writing!
I'm still getting my head round EE - we'll give it this week and see how it goes.Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side
November GC £255/£3000 -
Lol, you had your day a bit backward rupe! Never mind. I'm stuffed full of green free food tonight like you wouldn't believe. I hope to make it to a supermarket tomorrow to stock up on LC & fruit so I can get my EE week started!0

Been so busy today that I havn't even had time to go on here! It must be tough for those of you whose classes have closed down due to the snow. I find that if I miss a class I tend to overindulge:mad:
We have always been told by our consultant that the hot cooked chickens from Tesco etc, are free as long as the skin and visible fat is removed. I queried the yogurts with her this week and she said they were definatly free also. Didn't think to ask her about the pasta and sauce though.
Eating has been ok today, funny how the cold weather makes you want to eat isn't it? I'm going to have an early night, think were supposed to get more snow tonight. Stay warm everyone!
MarionWhen life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0
