I am being tortured by a box of chocolates. My boss, who is also doing slimming world, gave us all a box of chocolates on Sunday and they have been calling me ever since. I have so far resisted the temptation. I have decided that I am going to give them away. I am going to visit a friend this afternoon so I am taking them with me. I'm not sure how long I would be able to resist them
of I keep them.0 -
oh deary me we have been given another tin of biscuits and they look soo tasty!0
-
OK...biscuits, chocolates covered in slime, walked on by cockroaches, sneezed on by a potential swine-flu victim, licked by a snotty-nosed child and put back in the box/tin......do you see the theme emerging???
Those chocs and biscuits will taste yummy for just a few minutes, then you will be agonising for the rest of the week that you may have gained weight - is it worth it? If the answer is yes, go ahead, otherwise make yourself some hot chocolate Options and forget about the high-syn treats.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi all
Resist those sweets and biscuits! They have been spat on! (this makes me laugh but it is a useful trick)
Today I have eaten:
Skimmed milk (HEA)
B : Toast (HEB) tsp marg (2) eggs fried in tsp of oil (2) and baked beans.
L : Risotto - onion, peas, sweetcorn rice stockcube also used tsp oil (2). Tblsp parmesan (1.5)on top.
Tea will be a lentil and mushroom bake (3) with a yoghurt (0.5 for 100g) egg and cheese (HEA) topping, probably with mash and peas.
I will probably also have a banana and yoghurt later on so (2.5) for my cheap synned yogurts. I've also got another HEB - not sure what to do with that.
I know I've used most of my syns for oil but I do like to fry things and I only use a tsp of olive oil. On the other hand I rarely eat much sweet stuff now (apart from the odd bowl of icecream!) as I find it more difficult to follow the plan if I am constantly trying to fit in sweet stuff! Then I end up thinking too much about sweet stuff as well!
Anyway hope everybody is having a good day!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
thanks catt, I have got alot of info about what to do but to be honest until they announce if my flight is affected I can't do anything as I don't want to travel later on in the year!! However I have been hearing that long haul from Gatwick SHOULDN'T be affected, so fingers crossed!!!
Right todays eats:
B- nothing
L- Leftover pasta bake with HEa cheese
S- Chicken Korma made with pataks paste and low fat creme fraiche & a popadom approx 5-6 syns per serving (but TOTALLY worth it!!)
I didn't eat breakfast as I was going to at work but it has been manic!! Will have a HiFi bar at home and probs a muller light for puds.
I am trying to keep my syns under 10 to allow for the nightmare weekend but you'll all be pleased to hear I am drinking like a fish and got back on my wii fit after a weeks break!! It told me I'd lost a pound but I don't believe it as I'm always wearing different clothes whereas I try to wear the same to slimming - and I trust those scales completely!!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009

sorry to keep going on about the chocolates but i wanted to share how happy i am with myself,
went to the kitchen at work to make a drink and i opened the quality streets and celebrations - they smelt gooood! - then i put the lid back on and got my pineapple out of the fridge! should be ok for rest of the day as won't be off back to the kitchen!0 -
well we have roses and mince pies here and I am now the only one at work until xmas. So I have no idea what to do with them!! I think I will take them home and give them to my OH!! Although I'm not sure that seeing him eat them won't just as bad as the packets staring at me here!! I might just bin them!!
God is bloomin freezing today!! anyone got any snow? i hear it could snow at the end of the week!! Don't think it will settle though, be nice to have a white christmas though!!
Oooh anyone got the new mag yet? Is it any good? I'll get mine tomorrow, my consultant told us last week we will have it for tomorrow!!
And catt you can't change diet, the slimming world one is the best (well I think so!!) you're so good at advising everyone, I can't imagine why it isn't working for you. Maybe you should talk to your consultant about it, ours is always happy to look through food diaries and have a chat and can usually see where we're going wrong. The only thing I've found is that everyones different and some people find some free things don't actually help, like having too many bananas or something!!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009

We've been forecast to have snow showers tomorrow, Friday and Saturday and proper snow next week. We'll see! Just hope if it does then OH gets stuck at home, not away
Thanks catsy - I know SW is the best, but it's just not working for me. My SWC doesn't have time to talk to anyone (it's why I swapped classes last time I was struggling but have had to go back to her due to timings). If I was cheating I wouldn't be so upset, but I've been unbelievably good and lost 0.5lbs in 3 weeks (4 inc this week if I haven't gained!) I'm so distraught i'm sitting here in floods0
