  • Yes thats right, I am a therapist. I have lost about 3 stone with SW about 2 years ago and have managed to keep it off. I had alot of support from my group and think that its a satisfying job. I wasnt aware that you weren't allowed to have another job besides being a consltant, so is that why I wouldnt fit the 'criteria'?

No, it's the fact that the only thing you wanted to know about being a Consultant, is what you would be paid. If as you say, you'll do (wax) anything for money, I was pointing out that the job isn't for someone who's paramount reason is money. Another thing is you say you work stupid hours - where would you find the time to do this job as well?

I don't really understand why you didn't ask your own Consultant first, it seems the obvious place to start. There should even be some flyers in group at the moment about the Event day/evening as there's one due this next week or so.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • BUT there is a tin of quality streets and a tin of biscuits in the kitchen at work!

How would you feel about those chocs and biscuits if you thought someone had spit in the tin? What about thinking of someone going to the loo, not washing their hands and riffling through the tin just before you get there - ugh!!!

I have been known to convince myself there will be a huge spider in the box if I take off the lid......sometimes it works :rotfl:

Welshcaz - join now! As a new member and with a lot to lose, you could be a stone down by the New Year and just think how fab you'd feel and so proud of yourself throughout the festivities for easing back on the fattening things. Apart from anything else, the price goes up on January 1st so if you join and buy a Countdown (pay up front for 5 or 10 weeks and get 1 or 2 weeks free) you will make quite a saving.

Of all the 'diet-killers' out there, try to avoid pastries, pizzas and things fried in deep oil. Pints of beer/lager/cider are full of sugar, you would be much better off having shorts with a diet mixer.

Just make sure you have the right insurance in place ;)

haha good idea! i did take the lid off the quality streets (only 5 left greedy bunch at my work) but then my boss said (shes on WW) if she had a choc everyday from now til end of jan that would be 3 days of food on WW so that put me off! i had a yogurt instead!

I maintained this week, pleased with that! going to be very good this week as off out on saturday for bf work do to a mexican and plan to enjoy myself! we are doing secret santa and having party night at our group next week, should be good!

well because the flight part is the only thing I needed covered, other than the normal illness etc.. I hadn't book my insurance yet and they won't cover you for after you've known about them. However I will get my money back from BA if the worst comes to the worst. Unfortunately it is just a waiting game until I find out if my flight is cancelled or not!!

have made a good decision for supper though - pasta bake - easy and comforting so perfect when I'm feeling so god damned stressed!!

  • I'm just in from class and I lost 4 this week so I'm at 4 stone 13 1/2 lost  soooooo close to my 5 stone award!

I'm really pleased because I've been going through a bit of a sticky patch but I think reading here regularly and posting is helping me find my weight loss mojo.

Wow Karen, very well done you - would love to see your food diaries. Since my first week I've lost pathetically slowly so nearly 5 stone down 4lbs off is amazing! Wish I could do that!

Fantastic :j:jwell done. You can get that award next week no problem, then it should help give you the motivation to be relatively good over the holidays.
