morning everyone! well, I went to my first Christmas party of the season last night. 3 course meal which was not very SW friendly, but as with most set menus at these nights out, the food was terrible so didn't eat any of it, most of it ended up on my friends plate! had a couple of diet cokes and left early. unfortunately got called boring for not drinking and the drunker everyone got, the more I wanted to go home. it was a bit of an eye opener, I hope I'm not like that when I've had a few too many. ended up picking up OH from the pub and had an early one.
Liz3yy, happy birthday and I hope you have an enjoyable day and are feeling a bit better. with lots of love. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. Morning all, I'm in a much brighter and happier mood, after all it's my birthday!
OH made me breakfast in bed - fried egg and fried bread, it was lushhhhhh!
I'm starting the day as I mean to go on - enjoying myself, after all it's only one weekend and I shouldn't worry about it.

happy birthday lizzy, enojy your day!
i've got a day of studying ahead of me, trying not to eat out of boredom. i've had weetabix for brekkie and a banana. going to have savoury rice for dinner and have plenty of 'free' yogurts and some more fruit to snack on. might do an exercise video if i can motivate myself!0 -
morning all, thank you so much for the kind messages!! I am feeling a little bit better today and am trying to stay in control!!
Skintcatt - I wish I could afford a cross trainer as everything tells me it's the best for flabby tums!! My mum and dad have a mini gym at theirs, with a treadmill and rowing machine so will start going round regularly to use them. Any idea of what I could do instead of a cross trainer though? I will look up cardio exercises online. Oh I have a wii fit which I try and do as often as possible but probs works out at once every other day.
Well I think I will officially announce my weight as I haven't on here and see what people think my target should be (or at least help with some ideas!!) I am 5'6" and started at 13st13.5lbs!! I now weigh 11st3.5lbs. My only thought when I started was to be under 11 st. On the chart in the book etc it says anywhere between just under 9st and 11st!! Now I don't want to get to 9st as I would look silly, my family are quite big built. I'm thinking about 10st 4lbs, or somewhere around there as I feel I do have about another st to loose. the only prob is that if the weight goes from anywhere other than my tum, bum and thighs I will look silly as my face, boobs and arms have already shrunk dramatically (E cup to a C cup!!!)
any suggestions greatly appreciated!!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday Liz3yy, hope you've had a lovely day so far.
Franby64 - 9st 9lbs would put you smack in the middle of the healthy range for your height so go for it
catsy - I should see how you feel at around 10st 12lbs and if you're happy with yourself, stop there. Unfortunately there's no way to ensure the weight will come off exactly where you want but exercise can help. I remember reading once that it can take around 6 months for the benefits of exercise to show
yoemma - what you said about the drunken behaviour of others when you're stone cold sober made me smile. It's so true and you can't believe you would ever be like that, but guess what........:rotfl:
Don't fret about being at target for Christmas if it's making you miserable, you can always do it after. Think of it this way, if you're at target you'll be panicking all the time in case you go over target.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hey everyone
Have been lurking all week - took a lot longer than I wanted to get my head back in the SW mindset after my birthday - but today has been a good day - in control and not stressing about exercise/weight/"argh I MUST lose weight by Christmas because I don't want to be even heavier afterwards" - type stuff;)
happy Birthday Liz3yy - hope you have been thoroughly spoilt!!:DOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Hi all!
Catsy - anything that's cardio should work (I bought my Cross Trainer from eBay for £30 by the way!) - fast walking, jogging if you fancy it, or any of the Wii Fit step stuff! Must get back to my Wii Fit, but after 30mins on the X-trainer I can't think of anything but sitting down!
Well I'm sorry guys, but I have sinned! I mean sinned AND synned! Woke up this morning after my first wedding nightmare (where I wasn't ready and wasn't slim enough) and decided to have a Slimfast (my cupboard is full of the powder) rather than my egg, beans & polenta I had planned. Was starving all day but just made a 2 syn spaghetti carbonara for OH and I. Having a glass of wine too as I promised myself I would try to use all 15 syns every day this week!
On a plus note we've put the tree up & all the Xmas lights are on. Just a shame he has to go away again Monday morning
Happy Birthday Liz3yy!

How big are cross trainers? I am thinking I would like one but I don't have much space to have it stored when it's not in use.

They're larger than an exercise bike Lisa. Ours takes over the living room, but nowhere else to put it and if it helps me lose weight I don't care - it's only until June!0

I just bought an air glider from ebay for 99p! and the bloke delivered it0
