Well i'm back in one piece and only just, shopping n town was'nt too bad, only complaint was when in M&S i took her for a cup of tea and ordered us some cake which she chose, which was a beautiful sandwich cake with jam and cream, but oh no not in Grandma's eyes, cake was dry, buttercream too sweet
, jam too fruity, i kid not, oh and the tea was wallow (old nothern saying i think), then complained for the next hour she felt sick because of the cake. managed to get a couple of presents in there, but she decided to buy some cava whilst in there and as it was 2 bottles for £10, so she bought 6 and guess who was carrying them, yes you've got it me:j and had we parked in M&S car park ohh noo, why would we do that, no we parked in the car park at the furthest point from the town centre, we then trailed around town me clunking because of the bottles,3 hrs later got back to the car, for her to announce she needed to go to ASDA for milk, i said i will stop at the spar and get milk on the way home, no no no had to have ASDA milk
, so off i go to ASDA, 1 hour later i leave ASDA with a trolly full of stuff that in about 3 months time she will tell me to go and empty out of her freezer cos she does'nt eat it:rolleyes:. I then leave ASDA to take her home, starting to relax and then i get, i need to go to Homebase, which of course is back in Town:mad::mad::mad:. We eventually arrive back at Grandma's, i think i will make a dash, drop her and shopping through the door and leg it, no no no, have a cup of tea she says, youv'e run around all day, so i say ok i will, thinking bless her she does apprieciate it really, so i sit down and what do i get, well whilst your here you might as well make yourself usefull and put that tree up you can't expect me to do it:mad::eek::eek::eek::mad:.
I do love her really.0 -

Did'nt get chance to post yesterday, needed to recovery from Sunday.
Worked all day yesterday, then took kiddies swimming, home did jobs and fell asleep on sofa, hubby woke me at 10pm and sent me off to bed, but have been up half the night with DD as she had a nightmare about a giant spider trying to eat her, so wriggly worm got into bed with me, at about 5.30 just dropping back off to sleep when ds plods into bedroom to tell me he is cold, so he crawls next to me, they both fall to sleep and i'm wide awake, so i'm now kn*ck*rd and could do with going to bed but i'm off to the Dentist with kiddies and then back to work as its our schools Nativity tonight:eek: so who knows what time i will get home from that.
On the money front i seem to be spending and not making anything, spent another £16 in Tesco yesterday, need to get spending bak under control, will be glad when christmas is out of the way, Also paid for kiddies school xmas party £6, of course this was an optional donation (yeah right).0 -
Feeling shattered after yesterday and have had another busy one today, also had my childrens Nativity tonight which was fab, i was really proud of both of them:D.
Kinda feeling a bit down today as it's a year since my Dad died and have been thinking about him a lot, does'nt help that i've got pmt as well so i'm super emotional.
On the money front not much happening, £4 from a survey paid into paypal, sold an item on ebay for £15, done the usual scratchies 10p and 20p, will be glad when the new year comes and feel like i'm a bit more in a routine with money/spending feels like i'm handing money out all over at the moment, but i suppose its the same for everyone. Spends today £1 on raffle tickets at school and 50p on sweets for kiddies as they did such a good job in the Nativity they deserved a treat.0 -
Chin up Miemie!
You are still making progress with the money making :A
Unfortunately, spending is par for the course at this time of year. It started to get me down too, but as there's no way to avoid it completely, we just have to plod on until the NEW Year.
I'm sorry to hear about your Dad...:grouphug:

Thanks Mac and chops, feeling a lot brighter today, which is good.
Had £11.50 paid into paypal today, so have withdrawn £54 :j, i will use this next week as i have a meal out with work, 10p and 10p on scratchies, but have been to Tesco this lunchtime and blown £40, some of this is to put away for christmas, got lots of nibbles , i also bought a bottle of baileys for an Aunties christmas present and a few christmas decs.
Today i need to get organised and make a christmas food list, meat has been ordered from the butchers so thats one less job and i get all my milk, eggs, fresh juice and cream off the milkman, so he will deliver all that for me on christmas eve. Also need to sort out what presents are left to buy and get them on saturday when i go into town.
Been thinking that in the New year i want to try and save as much as possible and need to get back into a strickt grocery routine with meal planning and lists, thought about making up a 2 week menu and trying to stick to it and only buy what is on the list:rolleyes:.
Also need to nip to the post office to post eBay parcel and Fedex tried to deliver a parcel today, i'm not expecting anything so i'm very excited they are going to redeliver tommorrow:j.0
