how about taking out the "like it" button next to the thanks in the OP ??

there's been so many complaints about it there since it went in, its above and below the OP alongside spam/expired/reply until a reply is posted and then its still above the OP if people want to use it - that should be sufficient

why does it have to appear THREE times in every post - no other button does!

I can't see the notice either , when logged in. Only there when I'm logged out.

I'm not 'new' in the sense that I joined Oct 08, but I've only made 3 posts so perhaps it's to do with the number of posts?

Glad it's not just me! I think it is probably a post count thing, in which case there will be a lot of surprised lurkers when the forum closes

Have you tried turning your computer off and then on again?
