There is a pagination problem, a thread with currently 160 posts, shows page 8 out of 9, and when you click on page 9 - it stays on page 8...
here
Note, its likely the problem will disapear when more posts are added...
But it occured at 160 posts in the thread.
I was just tootlin along to say that. The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0 -
Hi, the madbid thread appears to have been moved and then closed by a moderator for where it was moved to? I been using that thread for several months and now it is locked. We had some comments of suitability, yet Ive made more from MB than my entire investment portfolio. Many thanks0

Hi spit, i contacted MSE IAN on this thread and are waiting for a reply back. If not several users have PM'd me, and I am looking at setting a forum site up. Its a shame really as I use this site for all our energy and savings advice!! I think our thread was moved and the new administaitor has closed it! We shall see and let you know0 -

after a comp/post has been expired and then unexpired the expired button seems to stay visible in certain circumstances
if you click on the comp post in question the button that appears in the post is "expired?" - this shows it is active
if you search for the post directly "E: 04/01 Win A Luxurious Gourmet Break For Two At Northcote, Lancashire " the button doesnt show in the results
however when sorting posts by date and scrolling through when you get to the page that it is on - the button shows as below

Now that doesn't seem to happen and I have to remember to manually subscribe, which is a nuisance, especially if I've given practical information on a thread which might lead to further queries.
See here:MSE_Webmaster wrote: »Hi folks,
We've been experiencing some slowness on the Forum recently and one of the things we've been able to track it down to is the huge amount of thread subscriptions that we have to deal with, some of which date from the instalation of vBulletin, over 4 years ago.
In the old days, all users were automatically subscribed to every thread they posted in and it's this legacy that's causing us the problems.
So, to solutions:
1. From 10pm this Thursday, October 8th, we are taking the Forum down for an hour to delete a large number of old subscriptions - every thread that hasn't been updated for 6 months of more will have it subs removed.
2. We are going to switch everyone's automatic thread subscription setting to "Do not subscribe". If you want to change this,. you will need to go into your User CP - Edit Options - Messaging & Notification section and change the setting back.
3. We are considering setting a subscription limit to try and minimise the resource this consumes but we'll make that decision after we've done the deletion and see where that gets us.
We hope that this operation will give us back some resource without having any major negative affect on users.
if you have any questions, please let us know.
