Hi,
I don/t know if it's anything to do with the changes but on logging on to the site today I got a warningfrom avast that the file below was a virus
hi there, sorry but your link didnt work for me (error 404)....funnily enough i grabbed a screenshot of the warnings i was getting but they are currently being wiped for my new installation as i type this on my desktop (its my laptop that copped it....)0 -
By comparision to the previous poster, my problem is insignificant but it is ANNOYING me!
This morning everythings ok, this evening certain pages like this one and the GIOL forum has been made extra wide so that you have to scroll left and right to read the content.
In the GIOL forum, if you click on the individual thread, this reads normally, it is the actual thread list that is too wide. I thought that it was because the 'warning message' had changed, but when I came here to report it, page 1 of this thread is 'normal' but page 4 is too wide:( It's like they need resizing.
Why, oh why, must you try to fix something that isn't broken:(0 -

It is caused by the warning message on GIOL. It's too wide for smaller displays.
THIS page of THIS thread is extra wide becasue of the image in post #64 by SkyPaulusPlus. An image posted that is wider than the default post width has always done that to these forums with vBulletin. Nothing at all to do with any upgrades or an error.
The banner image on GIOL is doing the same thing unfortunately (although on this latop because the screen is fairly wide the effect is not very noticable).
Whoever designed that banner seems to have neglected to test what it looks like on lower resolution displays.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Agree with the above post.
The warning image on the GIOL thread is too wide, forcing the screen to become stretched on my screen resolution of 1024 x 768.
Please sort it out.... very annoying.Check out my Ultimatcher40 -
My page has literally just stretched out on all pages for me, was fine 2 minutes ago until I hit new posts. I've Ctrl+F5'd and its still stretched.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

For the last hour, when I've been trying to post, I got Internet Explorer can't display this page.
Then, the page format went all funny and I couldn't post for about 20 minutes.
It seems okay now though. It is a scientific fact that your body will not absorb calories if you take it from another person's plate.:A :A :AChocolate is the answer and I don't give a damn whatthe question is.;)0 -
has anyone else been to the utilities tab since my first post on this thread? i have not, has the script been removed?0

on a forum I know of, your posts, if you've used an unsually large size font or if you post images of a size that would stretch the page, automatically corrects it for you or a case that it wouldn't let you post, if I have observed it correctly
am not techi, so don't know how it happens, but I suspect it must be something to do with creating some kind of default setting for fonts and images to make it aesthetic in appearence and easy viewing instead of having to scroll sideways for each blessed post
some usernames are so long like this OP
that their posts start halfway through the page
apart from these, the site has been as cool and fast since the first upgrade, thanks0 -
I'm having trouble with my subscribed threads. User CP always says I don't have any but I have manually subscribed to some in the last few days and my options are set up to subscribe me to threads I have posted in. I manually log in each time so...?Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0

I have found that sometimes just hitting UserCP won't show any subscribed threads when I know there should be some there that I haven't read yet.
I have gotten around this by clicking on 'Quick links' then go down to subscribed threads. The most recently posted on will show at the top and usually be darker in colour until you read them.
