    Hi everyone,

I've just joined the site although i've been lurking for a while now!

As this is the first challenge I've joined could you put me down for £400 for November please. This is to feed myself and my wife and our 4 kids! :)
Hey there - we have similar family situations, but you are doing better than me - I will be watching (but not in a stalker way) and learning

    Good luck

Hi Stargirl - we are the same. used to spend £30 a month on coke . if you have a Lidl's near you - their Freeway coke is very very nearly as good. we now buy 6x2l for 39p a 2l bottle, very nice chilled, and OK not. My OH tried and rejected all the others - but Freeway got the thumbs up :T

    Good luck

Thanks for the tip! I dont have one that near-by, but I can stock up when I do go near one, as there is also an Asda, Sainsburys and Tescos there so I can make the trip more worthwhile ;) I'll let you know what I think of it! :D

Managed another NSD today, but I'm predicting a spend tomorrow - need some more drink, didn't realise how low the Vimto was :o Also going to get the local paper to check for car boots, jumble sales etc. So, not a NSD as I wanted but I'll keep it as low as I can :D

Glad to see everyone else is doing so well, and welcome again to all joining in :)

I wouldn't - or if you feel you must then don't be too worried if you creep over (maybe even add a bit extra to it). be in no doubt, you will be eating crisps and jelly (or banana mash!!) for a week afterwards so it should count a little !!

  • Asked OH to get a couple of bits today i.e. milk and diced beef and he spent £19.73, oh well that what happens when you let them go shopping. I spent £1 on some carrot batons to munch away on during the day.

    UTS.

Ok bought lunch again.... I need a smack!! £2.50 for roast pork bap (with stuffing and apple sauce!!) and then £1 in Julian Graves for some snacky things...

Probably didn't cost much more for dinner for 5 of us (hangs head in shame...)

Also bought bread £1.50 for 2 wholemeal kingsmill in iceland - their milk is back to £1 for 4 pints too...

    Must try harder.

Am ok with main meals it's the lunches that's the problem, need to be more organised.

Anyhoo hope everybody else is `doing better x
