I'm not doing at all well this month. Spent £6.86 in a healthfood shop for things I've not been able to get in the supermarket recently. Then spent £8.74 on my weekly shop - managed to get loads of vegetable and salad whoopsies again so I'm really happy with that.

So, my spends this week have taken my total up to £52.26, leaving me with only £7.74 to last until 2nd December. I do have a few £s in reward vouchers that I can use if needs be.

Just remembered also that I've asked my mother to get me a couple of things from Waitrose and bring them over with her next week. Oh well, at least I'll be well stocked up so no excuses for not coming in under budget in December!

  • I fell off the packed lunch bandwagon and brought a sandwich at work today :( I haven't got anything to take to work tomorrow either so I'm not doing very well this week! Asda is delivering my shopping tomorrow and I think that will already push me over my budget. Next month I'm going to try and be more organised and actually plan my packed lunches and drinks for work as that seems to be where I'm losing the most money.....

  • I'm doing a lot better this month!

So far spent £127.54 on groceries. My "budget" is high die to last months massive spend.

I am menu planning much better though. That helps enormously!

Spent £1 today in Lidl on 2 bags of fun size pears which I have preserved tonight. Made 2 large jars full and 2 individual pear crumbles with left over crumble mix I froze the other day.

Lovely pot of lentil soup using HM stock from freezer made last night and had HM feta burgers for tea tonight.

Doing the weekly shop tomorrow but will try to keep it as little as possible, probably just some fresh meat as still loads of HM meals in freezer. Freezer has much more space but not making any inroads into store cupboards :o

Sig updated for spends on 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th - no NSDs again, although I blame one day of spending on my DD ;) She wanted a pomegranate for my GDs to try, and Mr M had them as singles (normally £1 each, on offer at 50p each) or in packs of 4 (normally £1.49, on offer at £1). So, as I've not had one for years either, I picked up the pack of 4 and split it with her ;) Meant we each got 2 for 50p, instead of just 1 if I'd bought individuals !!

I've spent a total of £4.75 (including a whopping £2.72 on cakes as treats for DS and I, the excuse being first week at work - this must stop now!), but as a lot of things were from Whoopsies the goods should have cost me £7.27 - so not a bad haul all-in-all.

Back under targetted spends though - was allowed £36.31 to the end of yesterday, but have only spent £31.46. So, even after spending £6.53 on a beef joint for Christmas holidays on Sunday, I still have £4.85 in hand. So if I curb the spends on treats, I'm still looking good for making the month on or under budget :)

    Arrrrgggghhhhh!!
Had £40.77 left -spent another 17.08 and now have a pitiful 23.69 to see us till 28th November- have meal planned and made up shopping list to see us till 28th but def going to go over budget!! Arrrggghhh!!! Only a first attempt and have cut the budget from over 400 a month to 230 so can see why struggling but think I am going to have to go into damage limitation mode between now and then, but surely that is better than, 'oh sod it- might as well spendaway mode' (the old me- hopefully securely repressed?!)
Will update with todays shop later!

    Good Luck All
