    Afternoon everyone
Hope you are all having a nice Saturday so far

I'll have to update my siggy tonight as I ordered from MrA as I had a free delivery code from them, I ordered only what was on offer and that we would use this month, next month is gonna be really tight as DH has no overtime coming through and his basic wage is very poor - couldn't happen at a worse time really !!

Welcome and hi to Nikki20022008 - please ask any questions you may have and check out the fantastic recipes on page 1 - good luck and happy no shopping

    Have a nice weekend everyone

  • Hi Folks!

Hope that everyone is having a good time this month. I have been missing in action for the past couple of weeks due to a death in the family. October's grocery challenge went to pot as DH, DS and DD were left with a selection of heat it and eat its. I came home for a couple of days last weekend to do as much cooking as poss and get everyone back on course for school but the mse effort was really a bit futile in the face of all the other expenses we have had.

So for November - there are really only three weeks left for me so...........

£120 please for me. Are you still holding the fort Helen or is Mrs M back at the helm? Many thanks. This is a great inspiration.

    Best wishes

Hi everyone, I am up to £38.74 so far for a Sainsbugs shop. I want to come in well under budget so I can put more towards Christmas as we're skint with moving house but I can't see it happening. We do have some stuff in the freezer I plan using up as we now also only have 1 smaller freezer (had 2 for years)
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

    Afternoon all!
Just updating the spends from Mr T earlier today- a grand total of £45 after vouchers were taken off.
I really do have enough food to last 2 weeks apart from some fruit and milk so we do have to try to stick to it!

I've mealplanned fror the week coming and have bought enough toiletries, cleaning stuff and lunches for the next week or more. So no excuses!

Ona diet too so must stick to plan!

I seem to hardly buy any food. You guys seem to be having to buy bread & milk all the time... We only buy one pint of milk with our weekly (or whenever) shop, and that just lasts us... I don't water it down either!
Also bread... usually one loaf from the supermarket with the other shopping & that's it, till next time. When we run out, we run out. We'll just have leftovers, pasta or a jacket spud for lunch. Is this odd?
The same with veg. I'm not sure if we're odd or not! :o There are only 2 adults to feed here, but still....
    Hi :hello:

I don't think its odd that you can do without things like bread, milk & veg for a while until you get to shop again :D My DH & I used to do this all the time when there was only the two of us. Now with 4 children (3 of them nearly adults & certainly with adult appetites ;)) we don't have the fridge or freezer space for milk & bread. We use 6 pints of milk and at least a loaf of bread a day so I don't know where it'd all be stored. I have a large fridge but storing that much milk would fill a shelf!

Just popping on to update todays spends on .......... bread & milk :rotfl: and cat food too - £5.50. Hope that everyone is having a good weekend.

Puddlegum Sorry to read your news ((hugs)) to you all xxx

Hi - we go through 2 pints a day and about 2 thirds of a loaf each day - I have freezer space for milk [just keep forgetting to get it out in time] but no space for bread - hope that helps

  • Whoopsie spend = £36.45 Real Value = £76.70 Whoopsie Saving - £40.25

helen how do you work this out is it the original price minus the discount prise which gives you the saving (sorry to proberbly ask stupid q's) well my excuse is I have just supervised 11 kids at a party and rather tired......but on the upside I had dinner made for me and little one so no dinner needed lol. If I have it right I might start doing the whoopies value as I always make a beeline for the clearance section in Mr t's and grab stuff like a crazy woman lol.
