Hi all,
Well not off to a brilliant start, succumbed to a bottle of OJ and cake with my lunch but only £1, so could've been worse! Took in some baked beans and bread for beans on toast with a couple of tomatoes from the garden so at least didn't have to buy that too... I'm up to £34.46 so far.
Tea tonight was HM burgers with cheese inside with HM oven chips and salsa.

Oct GC /£1600 -
Hi all,
well after a disasterous october I would like to be put down for £300 for november please. My proper start date is friday though I had to fill up with petrol for a trip out today so have already spent £25.50 on that. I have meal planned our main meals for the whole month, using something from my overstocked freezers as the basis of each meal. Doing this I hope to cut down on this months spending and make some room in the freezers for ys items and batch cooking. I don't need as much cat food as usual as there is a fair bit left so thats a good place to cut back a little. I include cat food, litter, petrol and all groceries and household items for myself, dd who's 4 and 2 spoilt siamese.
I am hoping that I will be able to stick to £40 a week(at the very most, in fact I'm aiming for £30 but we'll see).If I can stick to £30 and come in well under budget I can add £200 to my christmas, holidays and treats funds which would feel fantastic.July grocery- 24.40/220. NSD-1/3.
Myself, DD, 2 cats, 35 weeks pregnant.
Debts- CC's- V-775, F-1253.10, BC-3291.80, T-1429.08. Total-6748.98. All 0%. Aim- to pay £200 per month.0 -

Please put me down for £60.00 again and i'll see how I get on. I'll start from the 1st, so anything I buy in the next few days won't count, but i'm not planning on buying much anyway.
Yeah - you're still with us - don't give up. Just remember what you were doing before comeing on here and take that as your inspiration - Good luck

Hi
After a month which seemed that I would be under target for once I have to declare £601.99 - £1.99 over budget. I was let down by a late trip to Mr L where we got some stuff for xmas so I am not too sad. In fact when I consider that is 25% saving on previous months I am delighted !!I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Evening
Well we went over budget by £11.98 but I'm not too disappointed as £49.85 of that was a home delivery from Asda cos we wanted bits for next month and had a £10 off code for them so it could come out of next months budget but we need to stock up on the cupboard stuff in November so will count it in this months budget [that all makes sense to me].
Ariarnia - welcome and hi, please feel free to ask any questions you may have and check out the recipes on page 1 - they are really good, we start the thread early but you start your month whenever it suits you so if you want to wait until the 1st then please do so [I do]
Have a nice evening everyone

Hi all! I stopped posting here a good few months back
but really need to get my grocery spending back on track so decided to join again. I'd like to be put down for £130 for November. Thats for me and OH for food, drinks, cleaning stuff, toiletries etc and, I didnt include things like that last year so this is just a complete guess for now, should be more realistic next month
Nice to get back into the OS way again though!Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time0 -

Hi Helen and all
Haven't posted or read for weeks which may explain why October bill went completely out of control.
Please put me down for £250 for November. This will be really hard but I have to pull our spending back somehow. Look forward to reading all the advice this month- I know it helps me keep on track.
ThanksGC/Aug2009 296 spent/300. GC/Sept2009 62/300. £100 Clothes Challenge 100/780
