    Evening all.

Reverbe - well done on winning the tea bags - what a nice thing to win! :j

Kittikins - I hope the exam went well - I had my fingers crossed for you!

villagelife - I'm sorry to hear about your family problems - what a difficult situation. :(

nuttybabe - it's nice to see you again, and I look forward to reading your pleasures again now you're back.

ampersand - how exciting to know the origin of your feathers, and to find they're so interesting. :)

    My pleasures for today:

    1) NSD.

    2) Finally sorted out the raised beds at the front of the building. I've been putting it off because I thought it would be really hard work, but it actually took me less than an hour.

    3) Planted out a second batch of sweet peas, and sprinkled the area with organic slug pellets this time so hopefully they'll last longer than the first batch did!

    4) Then it rained so I came inside and watched the Murray match - that's what I call nice timing! :D

    5) Placed an Approved Foods order - mostly stuff I need, but also a few bits I don't need but couldn't resist. ;) (Including chilli-coated peanuts - I may never forgive my sister for introducing those things to my life.)

    6) LO roast pork for dinner. I should do a Sunday joint more often - I can usually get five to six meals out of a small joint so it's never as expensive as it seems in the first place.

    7) A few rumbles of thunder earlier, which I hope will develop into a proper storm later.

    8) My DM is coming to visit tomorrow and we're (hopefully, depending on the weather) going to explore West Dean gardens, which I've wanted to visit for a while. :)

    Have a lovely evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

CCP it's LOVELY to winthem. Years ago . I used to drink Tetley all the time and tho I have the consolation of saving now and still drinking Fairtrade and nice tea, there was a long time I spent a lot on Tetley and TBH i do miss it.
Plus I just spent 3 quid on a 240 Tetley pack. it was on offer and down from about 5 quid or so. Mr T wanted 1.20 for 40 or 2 something for 80.. so quite a bargain.. I will save all this for best and of course use them loads of times each. (I get 2 -3 out of the value ones )

    Weekend pleasures

    1. The speedy arrival of my months supply of Tetley Teabags- I belive this normally comes as one 80 pack with a mug but I got 2 80 packs :)
    2. Wallander on BBC4 and Morning Glory on dvd
    3. fried eggs and potato waffles for dinner
    4. doughnut for Sunday snack
    5. Born Yesterday - an old black and white comedy i found on TV
    6. U2 at Glastonbury - I used to go see them when the audience was 3 men and a dog...

    Evening all,

Kittikins - hope the exam was a breeze for you.

    1) Lunch outside in the sunshine

    2) Finished work until Friday (spending a few days with the DM so won't be posting for a little while)

    3) Enjoying the Nadal/ Del Potro match

    4) My o% credit card being approved so that I can buy my new car!! Yippee!!!

    5) Nice vibe in the office as there was no senior management in and the two people in my team who annoy the living daylights out of me were on holiday.

    6) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZR_6K03gWk

Night all - have a great week

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

5 for today so far (Monday).

    1) Booked us on to 3 lovely courses run by the local district council during the holidays (I used to work for them so interesting to see it from the other side). We will be doing bat watching, survival (camp fires etc) and an afternoon of canoeing! All different days and will keep us busy during the summer holidays.

    2) Popped to Sainsburys sans sons. I don't like that you have to put £1 in the trolleys now though - they never used to have that.

    3) Had a good tidy.

    4) Went to see my ex mother in law's best friend. She got me up to speed on what the ex husband is doing - same old, same old, getting himself into trouble with various people. Still of no fixed abode and with no particular desire to see his sons.

    5) Rather embarrassed to admit but got rather over emotional over MrN (or the lack of MrN) and phoned him at work, which I don't think I have ever done. I'm sure it was a lovely surprise to have some mad women sobbing quietly at him but he took it very well. :-(

    6) Went swimming with sons and my brother and haven't long come back.

    7) Ooo yes, got chatting to the lady in the bank about changing my surname back and have emailed my solicitor so that will be underway soon!

    Today's pleasures:-

    1. The exreme heat made me look out a couple of cotton dresses which sadly no longer fit. The OS pleasure is that I can alter them and I will because I can.

    2. Washing line dried in no time.

    3. Washing brought in just before the shower.

    4. Found some time for card making this afternoon.

    5. Beef rissoles for tea from LO beef and some slice up to do a reheat in gravy for another Sunday dinner.

    Evening

    Pleasures for today

    1. Sat outside in the sunshine to eat lunch with a friend
    2. As have just been paid bought another premium bond, I was buying company shares but this has stopped so using that money plus the small pay rise I had to fund this. I know that if I left the money in my account it would just get wasted.
    3. Shopping done in Mr.T, lots of offers and bogofs plus a few yellow sticky items. Also used 2 spend and save vouchers saving another £14 so quite pleased:money:
    4. A friend has just had a baby and managed to get a lovely outfit half price also in Mr.T
    5. As so hot had a salad for dinner so nice and easy

Hugs to all who need them and lovely to see you posting again Nuttybabe.

    Evening. :)

    My five for Monday:

    1. Did lots of washing, got it dried, put a load of non-washable sports kit outside in the sunshine for several hours of airing.

    2. Made tikka again for supper - it looks as if this will always be a Sunday or Monday meal because I can hide things in it and nobody ever notices or complains. (Vegbox arrives on Tuesdays.) Today I snuck in the left-over steamed spuds from Saturday night's tea and the end of the blinking cabbage I've been trying to shift for a couple of weeks.:T

    3. Found a couple of packets of whoopsied cinnamon pastries at Mr S when I went in for milk earlier. DS2 gleefully ate his two as soon as I got home.

    4. A couple of sit down stops in the day to listen to a bit of radio and knit a bit more of my cardie.

    5. I set a timer alarm to wake me up and had a late afternoon sleep. I really needed it and I think I have now found the right length of time for me to feel very rested but not to lose too big a chunk of the day.

    Sweet dreams

It's been wet and dull up here hasn't it Carolynitia!!!

1 - First day back at work today and although it was tough I made it through.

2 - Some lovely chat with customers and staff alike at work.

3 - Came home for lunch so no pennies wasted on that.

4 - Saw some of my guides perform in their school play. They did Grease and were all amazing.

5 - Haven't been at guides much lately so was lovely to see the girls again and they were pleased to hear I wasn't leaving.

    Hugs to all!
