5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

5 for today.
1) Went to Cafe Nero's to meet a college friend. My 10th visit so got my hot chocolate for nothing! Said friend is a counsellor and reiki lady so not only good for a chat but also makes you feel like talking about all sorts of things. Like how shoddy your relationship is which you might just not have discussed with anyone else.... :-(
2) Went to Sainsburys to get MrN's shopping but also got bigger son some new jeans while I was there.
3) Taking a wasp nest to school for show and tell and smaller son finding 1 PE kit and 3 school jumpers!
4) Sons went to karate and enjoyed it.
5) Took sons to see their paternal grandmother (eek!) Not sure if this was a pleasure or not. Certainly was for the boys and for her and I had a cup of tea in the garden. Bit weird to see my old dog again after so many years. (The ex had him when we split up).
6) MrN's birthday so a nice tea. Presumably he had a nice day.
Really hoping for a better day tomorrow.0 -

Tomorrow is interview day between 1pm and 2pm! Can you all keep your fingers crossed for me please.....I'd like to try and get into the second interview :j
1) My new computer and phone have arrived - IT delivered especially because I didn't hassle them :rotfl:and then came back to sort out an internet problem because I just let them know and told them to drop by when they had time - why would I hassle....I was in no rush
2)Asda on a Wednesday night - I've never seen so many good looking blokes - I must of looked completely stupid with my mouth open  - I will be changing my shopping day to wednesdays - in the interests of science of course to make sure it wasn't a one off - where did they all come from?
3) Another nice chilled out day
4) 12 tiger rolls for 15p! :money:- that's six lunches with peanut butter or eggs I already have - and certainly a damn sight cheaper than the expensive/tasteless ones being sold at work
5) Everything ready for the interview tomorrow
6) Chat on MSN with someone I don't see very often...he also said I 'sounded' I lot more relaxed.
7) Having a laugh and joke with my new colleagues
8) Another beautiful day
9) Been timing my trips to and fro work and so far it hasn't gone over 30 mins.....just trialing the best times to leave home/work on each day....traffic is weird in Aberdeen!....So far I should leave home before 7.15am and leave my desk at 4pm....new boss reckons roads are clear by 6pm if I miss my slot....can't see the point in sitting in traffic if I can get paid over time
Hope you all have a great day.

Sorry Ladyhawk, had I known I've have sent the carpet people along :-). I decided to buy the bedroom suite, It's not A1 quality but has lots of good feedback on the website, and is only for occasional guests. I had thought of painting it, will wait and see what I think when it arrives.
jinty well done that delivery man, good service like that is a rare thing these days
Carolyntia good luck, everything x'd here for tomorrow!
Frith if Mr N acts like that it definitely needs some discussion so you know where you stand. Anyone who treats another human as you say he does to you certainly isn't worthy of anyone's hero worship! Hope you can have a chat with him and show him the error of his ways, and bad manners
1. nsd
2. a line of washing dried, and a pair of slippers which I put on the bench in the sun
3. postie brought me my new tax code at last, it's quite impressive compared to last years
4. the carpet was delivered and laid at last (sorry to all in Luton). It's beautifully soft to walk on after having bare boards for so long
5. not exactly OS but made myself laugh this afternoon. Went upstairs to the loo, forgot why I'd gone up, so decided to go to the loo while I was up there and see if I could remember. There's really no hope, is there?!
Night night, sweet dreams

Evening all,
My five for Wednesday:
1. I've sorted out in my mind what I'm voting tomorrow (we seem to have elections for everything here).
2. Very charming postie at the sorting office when I went to collect a parcel.
3. Found a £5 Lakeland voucher that I didn't know I had.
4. Crumpets (on offer in Mr S) and hot chocolate for my non-diet bedtime snack. Oh dear.
5. Sitting listening to a really good radio play on iplayer while knitting some more of my cardigan.
Sweet dreams

Popping in very early incase I can't get back later. I'm at library & there usually slow internet is a joy compared to home!
1. It's a nice autumn morning, coolest day so far this week, only 13o at the moment, which I think must be my coldest daytime temp since we got here! However, there's a wee breeze & it's dry so hopeful that washing gets dried.
2.The autumnal colours are stunning. The trees look amazing & it's so nice to see the change in colour. It's nice to feel a definate change in a season as life just seemed to be hot since we arrived last October!
3.Was all set to walk (yes ,with my legs!) DD2 to school as I had no Mothers day shop....,noticed DD1 had left her lunch, so phoned her....and could I just drop it off. So quick in car, dropped DD2 off then caught up with DD1 en route to her school & (just cos I'm nice!) gave her a lift the rest of way.
4. Was just getting stuck into housework when got a call from chair of PTA saying there was no stock left......quick jump in car, round to school & there was stock.....where I had said it was!....and breathe!
5. Quick back home, cleaned bathrooms, got washing out and thought sod it.....I'm off to library for an hour to use their lovely free internet!
6. Our bank is 'down' today, no internet banking or ATM's working so I won't be spending money today as I'm not paying a charge to take cash out another bank's ATM.
7. Our landlords are coming later this afternoon to look at few issues we have with house.....one being my rubbish oven....hopefully it can get sorted & I can have an oven which actually works!
I hope you all have a good day! I'm going to have 5 more minutes then head home to clean said oven!0 -

Good luck Carolyntia xx0

Good luck Carolyntia... in 90 minutes it will all be over.
Just think this is hopefully the second step to the new you... first was being a smoke free and now potentially a job that you'll love.
Well done you!Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Its 2.01 - how did it go, Carolyntia?0

Evening all.
Carolyntia - I'm really looking forward to hearing how it went. I was actually planning on having a no computer evening but I couldn't resist switching it on to see how you'd got on.
Kittikins - I'm glad to hear you're on the mend - I hope you've been even better today.
1) The last of my olive rolls for lunch, and I've already decided to make another batch at the weekend as they were so nice.
2) Popped into M&S at lunchtime and found they've got pesto and similar Italian things on special offer, so I took the opportunity to stock up. (And had to re-do next week's meal plan as a result, but never mind, eh?)
3) Mentioned to a colleague that I've decided to look for another job and she wasn't at all surprised - I guess my increasing boredom and frustration hasn't gone unnoticed after all!
4) Went out to vote this evening. I had toyed with the idea of not bothering to vote in the local election as none of the candidates could be bothered to tell me why I should vote for them, but I finally decided that was just childish!
5) Friday tomorrow, after a short week at work. :j
Have a nice evening, all.Back after a very long break!0
