Happy Easter everyone!
My five pleasures:
1. Sun is shining, birds are cheeping and kids are still asleep
2. Just knocked a cuppa over, the pleasure being that it landed where the laptop usually sits, but Claud had put it in a different spot, so nothing got damaged!
3. Spent yesterday doing the raised veg beds, they now look fab and I can't wait to start harvesting all the veg, pics are on facebook if anyone is interested!
4. Looking forward to a lovely day at home with the kids, ds is going to cook lunch, and I'm going to tackle some more bits of the garden - Percy Thrower has nothing on me at the mo lol!
5. Had an early night, and didn't wake up once for a wee! And I've not got the expected aches and pains from all the lifting yesterday, yippee!

Hi Everyone,
Carolyntia - happy anniversary of being nicotine-free! and for getting an interview for your dream job. How exciting and fingers are definitely crossed for you.
MHags - sounds like you have had a lovely trip to Sydney. Lucky you!
Amber - Welcome to the thread!:hello:
Sparrer - :EasterBun:easter_ba:icotbaske Happy easter to you too!
1) Did a few little errands in the morning which I had been putting off
2) My gorgeous kitkat. Since his brother died back in July he has really come out of his shell. He didn't ever sit with me previously and now I can barely sit down without a furry friend. He is curled up next to me at the moment and is very content having his tummy rubbed. ( though I could really do without his needle like claws in my thigh)
3) Went into London to meet up with some old school friends. We enjoyed some pimms next to the Thames in the sunshine. Lovely.
4) Taking two of the ladies to a naughty shop. One had never stepped foot in one previously and is very straightlaced, and the other wanted to buy something as a gift. It amused me greatly to watch the straightlaced one as her eyes were opened to a whole new world!!
5) Popping into John L and bought come fabric and stuff to make a skirt. It would have been far cheaper to buy the skirt methinks... but hopefully it will turnout ok.
Have a lovey days and enjoy your choccies. As I am allergic to chocolate I will have to find something else to indulge in.

Happy Easter, everyone! I'm trying to make a more concerted effort to be positive, so here goes:
1. We have a blackbird nesting in a bush in our garden. She is ever so brave, and sitting on a nest of 4 or 5 eggs. Bless her, she's nesting in the bush we were trying to cut back, and while we did take some branches off (we didn't know she was there) we didn't disturb her.
2. We had a quietish barbecue last night. Only a few friends turned up, but it was nice. One friend stayed over, and after the barbecue we watched The Boat That Rocked. That film is one of my favourites.
3. The sunshine. We played swingball in the garden today. It's a bit cooler today, which means it'll be a nice evening.
4. Tidying up the garden after the barbecue - it looks a lot nicer now the marquee has been taken down.
5. One of the panels of the marquee is unusable. Instead of throwing it away, we'll be using it as a tarpaulin now, and I've cut the Velcro fastening strips off to reuse again on something.
We've got jambalaya tonight, to use up some of the sausages leftover from the barbecue. Have a good evening, everyone.

Evening all. Hope you've all had a pleasant Easter Sunday.
1) Toasted, buttered hot cross buns for breakfast.
2) Nice chat with my parents on the phone as they're off on holiday later in the week.
3) My garden is being invaded by brambles from a neighbour's garden  and I wasn't sure how to cut them back without getting spiked. My DM suggested wearing washing up gloves under my garden gloves and it worked a treat.
4) Spent a very lazy afternoon watching the three day eventing.
5) Out with friends this evening.
Have a lovely evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
1. NSD
2. Came home
3. Couple of drinks with a lovely girly chum when we got back
4. Easy dinner of frozen pizza, can't be bothered to to cook properly
5. Feel worse mentally than I did yesterday (possibly with good cause) but am going to do my best not to tackle it today but to see if the problems go away by themselves...as I've had a couple of glass of wine that may be making things feel worse than they would had I not had the wine....here's flipping hoping!!

Evening all,
Kittikins - *big hugs*... sorry to hear that you are having a tough time at the moment. Anything we can help with? hope the wine is working.;)
CCP - am jealous of your breakie... there has been a severe shortage of hot cross buns in the Ladyhawk household this year.:(
Kitchenbunny - love the image of the blackbird in your garden.
I woke up at 3.30 this morning, worried about work... the problem is that I can't do anything about what I was worried about.
1) Lovely lie in...
2) Spent the afternoon in the garden, weeding, planting and mulching.
3) nice bath this evening to help remove the muck from the garden
4) Chat with my mum and helped her plan her visit to our sunny shores in June.
5) HM fish pie for supper... the seafood mix was already sorted and defrosted... just have to top it off with some mashed tatties which will use up the sprouting tatties.
Night night all...
