Caterina - so how did it go???
I'm feeling a little sorry for myself this morning and don't think that I am going to get much work done after a late night...Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Ladyhawk you have my sympathies, I spent the weekend feeling like that after a late night.....hope you get through the work day ok!
Caterina - we're on tenterhooks here, hope you'll be along soon to let us know how you think your interview went.0 -
Haven't posted on this thread for a long time but posting on here always made me aware of the cheap/free but good things in life. So returning after a long time but here goes:
1. Washing on line first thing this morning, so now ready to iron.
2. Walked to my local shops on this beautiful sunny day.
3. Dad rang to ask if he could call in with some HM scones for me. (He made me some yesterday, but my elderly neighbour is very poorly and hardly eating and when I came home yesterday, I was talking to his wife and she said he hadn't eaten at all yesterday. I asked if he would eat one of dad's scones and she said she thought he would, so I gave them to her for her DH, hence dad making me some more today.
4. Mum and dad calling in for a cup of tea.
5. Have been thinking about buying a book from Amazon, but one of the local libraries has it in stock, so off to collect it this afternoon so saving the money.0 -
1. Lovely day, went for a walk and went swimming, might go for another walk in a bit and take my camera
2. Washing is out drying in the courtyard/garden
3. My Odeon card came and I've enough points for a cinema ticket!
4. Mum's Mothers Day and birthday presents wrapped and card has been sent and turned up** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

Evening all.
1) A brief lie-in this morning - not nearly as long as I would have likedbut better than nothing.
2) Unless the blood tests show something very unexpected, the mog's fine. :j (But not very happy after having a load of fur shaved off and a needle stuck in him!) I'll get the test results late tomorrow morning, apparently, and will be a great relief to know for definite either way.
3) Received my Approved Foods order - I got quite pathetically excited peering into boxes to see what was in each one!
4) Also received my new alarm clock, paid for with survey vouchers so it didn't cost me anything. :money:
5) I'm not remotely in the mood for going out tonight so I'm going to curl up with an episode of Hairy Bikers, I think.
Have a nice evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Hi Everyone...
I didn't post yesterday as I got in so late so I have the double pleasure of posting double the pleasures!
Yesterday
1) My presentation of my 3 year plan at work went very well and the boss was very pleased with it.
2) One of my suppliers took me out for lunch at very nice japanese restaurant in the City. We had gorgeous sushi and yummy tempura veggies.
3) Went to a humanist meeting in the evening which was really interesting and good bunch of people - I look forward to the next meeting... though next time I might stay off the cider and won't drink on an empty tummy
4) The office grump is really making an effort these days to be more pleasant and actually really nice. Long may it last.
5) Sunshine!!!!
6) Found an earring that I thought I had lost
So today
1) Sunshine!!!!
2) Sugar overload... so some reason everyone thought it was a good idea to bring sweeties
3) Cuddles with the kitty on the sofa
4) Driving my car to and from work without a hitch
5) Getting a sweet message back from the Guy in Dubai after I sent him a drunken message last night.
Night night all... tis going to be a early night for this Ladyhawk.
