Evening All,
I can't believe it's Friday! What a week!
Yesterday
1. Awful day at work as my nice boss ended up going to A&E following an incident where he had to intervene in a fight between two students  The pleasure being that we found out later he was OK. :j
2. Head Teacher sent over a letter informing us that school was closed to students as there was no water, heating or kitchens due to repairs on a leak. (Timing!)
3. One of the really tough Year 11's told me he likes my lessons. :A Bless!
4. DS1 new hair cut. (Discount of course).
5. Chicken Stroganoff for tea
Today
1. No students! Got lots of admin done.
2. Head of 6th form brought us a buffet lunch. :A
3. Booked a hotel for DD's next comp. 2 nights for the price of one :money:
4. Beautiful weather this afternoon
5. Bids on my EBay Empire! Will help to pay for DH's surround sound and a new kettle as ours has just broken
Have a lovely Friday evening! Feels like bedtime already. (Been up since 4.30am to take DD to swimming and have to do the same tomorrow) Night Night HE x

STOP PRESS
Pleasure no. 6: just got a phone call (fancy that, at 7pm on a Friday evening, but I am not complaining!) from the director of the centre where I applied for a job, to tell me that I am shortlisted and to invite me to the interview, on Wednesday! Wish me luck please!
congratulations!
So you are considering entering the rat race again?Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Congrats Caterina.
1. Using up my gorgeous body butter.
2. It's a No Buying toiletries month but that didn't stop me buying lots for friends as gifts.
3. Having a meal with those friends.
4. Watching Comic Relief.
5. Making a donation.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Caterina, many congrats on the phone call :T and wishing you luck indeed for Wednesday's interview0

Best of luck, Caterina! Wishing you all the best for Wednesday.
Here's some pleasures from yesterday:
1. Going to see some friends we had not seen since Christmas. It was good to catch up.
2. The sun being out. We took the bike out for a bit and made the most of the good (but cold!) weather.
3. A No Spend Day
4. DH brought me a cup of tea in bed this morning. Unfortunately I fell asleep again and let it get cold (Bad me) but it was still nice when he woke me up and mentioned it.
5. The Moto GP starts this weekend.
Have a good weekend, everyone.

Good luck Caterina hope it all goes well!
1. Just in from an afternoon at the beach, it was lovely. Not boiling hot about 22o and that does seem a lot cooler to us, we were discussing earlier on how we have got used to (but I still don't like!) hot temperatures & how much cooler a 18o day feels. Back home that would be a warm day!
2. Clear greeny/blue sea and white sand and almost a full stretch of beach to ourselves! I finally got a chance to get into a book I have been attempting to start for weeks & hadn't got by the first page!
3. had fish & chips for tea on beach!
4. Did food shop this morning & was the least I have ever spent! I think now, I have a good store cupboard built up again, it was actually surprisingly expensive to start from scratch again.
5. Had a nice brunch & a good read at the papers!
Enjoy your day! x
ps :banana gate! $9.99 a kilo.....6.15 pounds ......don't think so!0 -

Afternoon
Caterina - Good luck for the interview. I know what you mean about the school trips they do now I went to Richmond in Yorkshire when I was at school but as it is only about 20 miles away not quite the same.
Pleasures for yesterday:
1. My friend J brought me lunch at the local noodle bar
2. In honour of red nose day wore my red shoes to work and used my red handbag, little things but always make me smile
3. As have neglected my walking this week a little bit went out for a 4.5mile walk before dinner and have arranged some training walks next week to get back into the required mileage
4. Bumped into my inlaws on way back from lunch, so stopped for quick chat
5. Pleasant family night at home watching a film together with a glass of wine
Will be back later to report on todays pleasures0 -
There aren't 5 for today (Saturday). I'm sure there should be. Mum found out yesterday her sister has breast cancer. Mum's mum died quite young from that. My sister last night went out with an absolutely awful man whom she lived with for several years. I *really* hope that relationship doesn't re-start. They separated 3 years ago and it took my sister 2 years to get over it.
As for MrN... I have just spent an hour walking round the village (in the dark!) wondering what on earth I am doing. Perhaps I'll never find someone who cares about me and fancies me.
Grrrr.
You OK Frith?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
