Hi everyone,
Wogglemaker - welcome back - glad that you are recovering somewhat.
Ditabombita - how on earth have you coped without heating!!!
1) Am in an exceptionally good mood and just feel so happy. Its amazing what no being stressed at work can do for a girl!
2) Remembering a quote from Sex and the City... "he just not that into you". A timely reminder after getting a message from the Guy in Dubai saying that he wasn't going to have time to see me when he is back for 3 days at the end of the month. Onto bigger and better things!
3) Progress (hopefully) being made on my car. It's been a month tomorrow since it went in and hopefully it will be fixed next Monday (don't ask...).
4) My muesli bars went down well with my colleagues at the team meeting.
5) Having a funny conversation with a colleague. He is married and it was all in jest but we have a very similar sense of humour and can spend hours giggling at stupid, innuendo laden jokes.
Night all - enjoy the rest of your week. I'll post again on Sunday.
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Haven't been around for a few days as we had some awful news last week that DH has lost yet another contract due to 'cuts' and we are so badly off now, we're just not sure what to do. Both of us being self-employed isn't helping either.
Despite the huge financial worries there are still pleasures in my day thanks to my lovely family and where we live:
1) An amazing sunny day. DS2 and I went for a walk around the Quiet Lanes and footpaths near our house and had a great time. It was really ennervating.
2) Good friends contacting us with nice messages of support.
3) DH and I getting our heads together and coming up with different directions that we may be able to take to get back on our feet.
4) Finding lots of things to list on ebay.
5) Glad that we are all healthy and together.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

1. Making progress on my eating Basics food. I now eat at least one Basics product everyday whereas before the only ones I ate were vegetables like carrots or tinned tomatoes but now I have cereal bars and snacks rather than the expensive Weight Watchers ones I used to eat.
2. Making a curry from scratch. I only learnt to do this at Christmas and everytime I do I feel so proud of myself.
3. Driving the company car - oooo the responsibility!!
4. Getting some recipes for bits I used to make with my Mum when I was little - I'm excited about trying them.
5. Had some lovely hugs today from my housemate (because she was sad) and my boyfriend. So nice!0 -
Hugs Blimus, hope things will get brighter for you very soon xx0

Yesterday's joys:
1. DD helping me to choose some clothes when we went out supermarket shopping, some of which I'll keep
2. Buying her a lovely summer dress, well we got 2 and thankfully she likes my favourite one the most, so I can take one back which just happens to be the more expensive
3. Not feeling upset when MrA had to postpone our date through feeling rubbish, just happy that we had lovely chats on the phone:)
4. Feeling thrilled that DD has put 2 and 2 together re: MrA and she's asked to meet him!!! He's fine with it too, so watch this space....
5. YS bread and mini cheddars when out shopping, yum yum!0
