    Hello,
sitting enjoying a cool breeze coming through window after a heavy downpour of rain has cleared the rain!
Okay here goes for today's pleasures:
1.I got a lie in when my DH took DD2 to school.......I will not tell you when I got up! Shocking!
2.Last hilly walk to school today ,finished early for the summer holidays, we have had a nice relaxing afternoon.
    3. I've hot a HM lasagne cooking in oven right now(smells delicious!),popped some Christmas buns in oven (from a baking tin shaped like trees/snowmen/santa bought in tesco sale for 50p)
my girls are busy decorating them at the moment with icing & sprinkles! Also got an apple crumble in oven too for pudding!
4.Rainy rain.........good for the garden and good for my mood!
    5.Just generally had a nice day....that's a pleasure isn't it!

This is my 5th day of finding 5 pleasures in my day, so thank you for your kind words of support. I was really struggling last week being so far away from everyone. I know I have a lot to be thankful for, we have been given a wonderful opportunity to move to Oz and have an adventure. I do believe life's for living but I'm not usually the adventurous type!
Hope you all have a good Friday,
    Mhags

Aaargh, today is the day ex Mr Frith gets his sentence. Tomorrow is the first day in 2 years where the boys have to stay at his house overnight. :-(

    Anyway, 5 for yesterday.

    1) Worked at school which went well.

    2) Took bigger son to the doctor's about his panic attacks. Dr was very dismissive (won't be seeing HER again!) but did tell him he has no heart problems or asthma which made him feel a bit better.

    3) Cooked tea at MrN's and all the boys got on OK together.

    4) Made cornflake cakes for my son's end of term class parties today.

    5) MrN came round later.

Sadly all self-confidence/ self-esteem has evaporated today (not that there was much to start with) so feeling particularly miserable wondering what on earth I am going to do over Christmas, how I will cope with the boys having to stay away and deciding (with no evidence) that the whole MrN thing is completely one sided and I am being taken for a fool (again) so I might as well end it now before he finds someone more sensible.

Hugs Frith, you are having such a horrible time, wish I could wave a wand and make things brighter for you. Your doctor sounds horrible, a child should never be dismissed like that :( Could you maybe take him to another doctor at the surgery? Some doctors are really not child-friendly. Grrr.

Frith - Do you have a health visitor as your surgery. They can sometimes be a bit more understanding with children. Big hugs to you today and over the weekend.
  • Just wanted to come and show support for Frith. Huge hugs to you. I am so sorry that you are having such a rough time.

    Thank you.

The ex got a fine. He hasn't worked in years. Still, that'll teach him. :-S

This assumes he will even attempt to pay it off?

Hugs Frith. Know it is very hard at the moment.

(((Frith))) thinking of you and wishing hard that you'll soon turn the corner. Don't be afraid to use the support of, and lean on, the ones who are always there. That's what friends are for :)

    Hi all

First of all, I want to add my (((HUGS))) for Frith, it sounds like you are having a really hard time and I hope that things will sort themselves out with your family issues. Re. MrN, please check with him before burning your bridges, it might be that he is thinking on the same lines as you and has not got the nerve to speak out, out of shyness or just because men do not speak of feelings (as we women do). If you were going to end it anyway, you might as well give it a go before you give up. Best wishes on this one, too!

Thank you all for your kind words (and GRRRRs from Blimus!) re. plumbing and weird mail/email. Sparrer, it is not a parcel I received - see update below:

I received a card and trial subscription that when it expires needs to be paid with a direct debit. I also received a direct debit mandate with my name and address on but with bank details that are not mine. Upon further investigations I found that this subscription was set up online using an email address containing my name and surname - which I do not believe I ever set. I went to the relevant bank today (found who they are because of the sort code on the direct debit paper) and the bank will pass these details to their fraud department. Also went to the police and the very sympathetic PC who took the case agreed with me that it looks like someone trying to set themselves in business (the account number, I was told, is a business account but not linked to my name, go figure!) using my personal details and probably needed a printout with name, address and this would have given it to them. I am very nervous of this whole thing because it looks like it might be the thin end of a wedge to get something illegal going in my name! However, the PC gave me his name and I know that if any further dodginess happens at least I have registered my concerns with the police. I also hope that the bank in question deals with this "business" account!

Here are my pleasures for the day:

1 - Got two free tickets for a preview on Sunday but I gave them to DD for her and BF as on Sunday we are invited to the allotment party (even in the snow, yeh, it should be fun, we need to wrap up warm, though!).

2 - Found a really nice gift to send someone for a Secret Santa I am involved in.

3 - Got an unexpected payment from NPower, I used to be a customer ages ago and because of some wrongdoing on their part they were asked to pay their customers in retrospect, and I was one of the beneficiaries - it paid for enough stamps for Christmas cards!

4 - Lovely healthy lunch, steamed courgettes, carrots, brussel sprouts and red onions on a bed of boiled brown rice, dressed with olive oil and pomegranate vinegar YUMMY!!! Followed by cup of tea.

5 - Too much health can be really unhealthy, so I ordered a large box of Thornton chocolates from the milkman (delivery) for a bit of sweet holiday cheer. It was on a good special offer and I could not resist it.

6 - Planning a quiet evening in with DH, writing Christmas cards and pottering about.

Got to go now, the plumber should be here any moment to fix that pesky toilet! Have a good evening all xxx
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
