    Evening all.

Well, on the negative side, my cough's getting worse rather than better, and I've got a horrible feeling it might be a chest infection now. :( On the positive side:

    1) My colleagues at work getting very cross at my manager's attempt to stop me taking my holiday. (Although I wasn't too keen on one colleague's suggestion that the department should not pay me for the days I've had off sick if it bothers them that much - thank goodness that's not allowed, as I'm sure my manager would if she could. smiley-rolleyes010.gif)

    2) A quick chat with the nice people at my box company - they delivered me an incorrect item by mistake, and have told me to keep it and they'll deliver the right one next week. :T

    3) Watching my puddy tat wolf down his dinner. :)

    4) Nice simple dinner for me of jacket tato, cheese and beans.

    5) Watching the last two parts of a TV series about church architecture - not to everyone's taste, I'm sure, but it's had me fascinated for the past six weeks.

Blimus - have a lovely holiday.

Frith - I'm glad to see / hear (whichever it is that you do on a forum ;)) that you're feeling better.

natlie - it sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday. The days of simple pleasures are definitely the best, imo.

beachbaby - I'm glad yesterday turned out to be better than you thought it would be. :)

Everyone - have a nice evening. It's Friday tomorrow! :j:j:j
Back after a very long break!

Just a quick post from me, and I hope everyone is ok. (((hugs))) Here are my five:

    1. Finding a gammon shank at Mr M. Happy days! Sparked something of a memory lane outing and I think at least 2 of my colleagues are going to buy them now too. ;)
    2. DH is feeling better! He's not been well and I think he's nearly over it now. :)
    3. It's Friday tomorrow. I'm absolutely shattered.
    4. I made a sausage casserole for tea. Absolutely beautiful, and it means...
    5. Leftovers tomorrow night! Meat Feast Pasta :D Nom!

Kitchenbunny - I read your post 3 times that you had bought a "gammon shark" from Morrisons!

    5 for today (Thursday).

    1) Worked in school and that went quite well.

    2) Cooked tea for mine and next door's children and everyone got on reasonably well.

    3) Couple of long chats with my sister - no further house buying news.

    4) MrN came round and has just left. :-)

Only 4 again! Looking forward to coming off the sicky making penicillin and feeling better. Off to see the Dr again tomorrow so she can see how bad my ear drum really is...

Not the best day, my beloved B is being buried today (Friday). I feel the black void of sorrow for the loss of the person who who was so loved by so many, and was my life for eight years.

    1. I have such wonderful memories of our times together
    2. I finished the poem, Dancing on Clouds
    3. A dear friend is coming to take me to her house for lunch

    night night, sleep well

  • Good morning all. Sparrer, I will be thinking of you today. Missed yesterday so I will catch up.
    1. A beautiful sunny day.
    2. A civilised phone conversation with ex.
    3. My girlies coming home.
    4. Chocolate fudge cake from a bakery in a village out of town that I just happened to pass on my way home from work.
    5. Whoopsied leeks and pre-peeled and washed potatoes (!?) from Mr.A so I am going to make leek and potato soup. Yum.
Love and hugs to all who need them. X

Good morning beachbaby and all of you catching up later -

I am struck by your change of tone in just over a week and will now say I'd done a post straight after your 1st one here - which vanished 3 times, at which point I had to leave. I'd responded to your feeling you didn't have 5 pleasures to write and share, but I saw that you had put 2 extra elements into another, so you'd easily made your quota that day:).
    Do you remember this? -

Now, don't tell us that that isn't a good trio of throughts to hold on to.
I do not in the least ignore the turmoil and hurt which you also know, but the difference that you are showing us on this Thread is here to be seen.

Teen frets will come and go - you can probably recall some of your own. Ride them out - your daughter has to and you will.
A good w/e forecast ahead :T- everybody outside.
