Evening everyone and thanks for your lovely welcomes. COunting my blessings today, I'm including:

    3. Having a lovely aftrenoon nap and read of the newspaper
    4. Mum ringing and asking us to dinner tomorrow as my brother is here for an unexpected visit.
    5. Nice chat with our neighbours, going round next week for a barbecue.

    Morning all.

Gosh what a day yeaterday!

    1. DH finally got the new pump to work after spending the morning in search of a missing part and then an air lock in the hose pipe! So the water level in the cellar is going down. :j
2 Cleared and cleaned the dining room in preparation for meal with friends. Nice to see the dining room table again! It has been the centre of my eBay empire for the past 2 weeks.
    3. EBay empire has earned much more than expected, so feel it was worth the effort, and all feedback so far has been positive, so that is a relief. :)
    4. DD is enjoying Reading festival. despite the mud.
    5. Nice meal with our friends last night. Used up some of the food defrosting in the freezer and some of my HG potatoes and some forraged blackberries. Mmmmmmmm :)

Frith - Just looked googled the glass festival. Didn't even know it was on! I love going to the Ruskin Glass Centre and seeing the glass blowing. I used to have a few students at the Glasshouse College when I was a Careers adviser. I always looked forward to the lovely veggie lunch at the student run cafe. Tempted to go tomorrow, but DS2 wants to go to the bus museum open day. :(

Sparrer - sooooo jealous of your trip to India. I always had ambitions to retire to a little apartment in Goa, but I think we will be rethinking that dream unless we win the lottery!:rotfl:(((((hugs))))) for your friend.

Hello to all the newbies. (Gingerjar - What is a balloon payment?). Hoping my Bankholiday starts here!!!!! HE x

Crickett1234, yes, being a cat magnet is lovely!

Sparrer, your trip to India will be such fun :T

    Recent ones for me:

1.Yummy felafel with a friend last night.

    2. Seeing a film - "The Girl Who Played With Fire".

    3. Getting loads done from my "to do" list.

    4. The boss telling everyone that they could leave work early.

    5. Meeting my colleague's puppy - he is a Jack Russell/pug cross, so he's a Jug! - absolutely adorable! Long, gangly legs that he's not grown into yet, big floppy ears, and a spotty tummy! SO CUTE!!!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, everyone.

Here's my 5 pleasures for yesterday:

    1. Catching up with an old friend whom I've not seen for a year. It was good to see her. :)
    2. At a friend's wedding reception, they had put lollipops in those florists blocks on all of the tables. It was a great idea!
    3. Dressing up. A very simple pleasure, but a swipe of lipstick and some shiny shoes and I did feel a lot better.
    4. Meal planning, and getting back into the OS ways.
    5. Watching a film at the end of the evening (at home). It was good!
