Thanks everyone for the welcome home
.
No five from me today I'm afraid, was up all night with the dog who was losing fluids, took him to the vet this morning where he was diagnosed with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. He's at the vet on a 24 hour drip, and have just got the results of bloods which were okay, so one less worry. Looking forward to a night in my bed, and getting some sleep, hopefully.
Night night, sweet dreams

Hi all
hugs to all of you who need them!
A big welcome back to Sparrer (hope your dog gets better)
CCP I hope that your gran's move to a home makes her feel at least safe and looked after (but I understand it is a really sad thing to leave her own home, so extra hugs to her and you!).
Quickly a few pleasures before I go to sleep, early start tomorrow!
1 - Today is my Friday, not back at work until next Tuesday YIPPEE!
2 - Lovely dinner of veg mix from garden and veg box, on brown rice, very healthy and everybody loved it.
3 - DD's BF is enjoing his new job and finds the people much more pleasant than the ones in his old one (Let's hope it goes well and lasts!).
4 - DH's nephew called, he used to study in Scotland but is now living in London so we will see him after many years, looking forward to it.
5 - Anticipating tomorrow day trip to Paris with DD - but it is a 6am wake up, so I am off to bed now!
Love to all xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Morning!
Caterina - Very envious of a trip to Paris.
Sparrer - Hope doggie better today.
Interupted sleep thanks to neighbours argument at 2am. DH was almost phoning the police!
5 for yesterday
1. Listed more things on Ebay.
2. LO caserole as soup for lunch. DD helped herself to the other half with some LO rice. Hooray she is learning!
3. Took DD for haircut at uni hairdressers. Looks really good and is about 1/3 cost of the highstreet, so mum and daughter both pleased.
4. Didn't manage to choose packs of cooking bacon with lots of nearly whole rashers this week, but did have some mis shapen bacon chops. Had these for tea with the eggs we collected from our friends hens and chips. Simple, but yummy.
5. Went to cinema with DH to see Scott Pilgrim VS the World. (Free tix with SFF). Excellent film............I want to look like Rammona please!
Have a lovely day. DS2 and I are off to the Bus museum this afternoon. He is transport mad:D0 -
Gosh, Frith, we are all holding our breath for the next instalment!
1) Made tea for tonight from left overs of yesterday's meal and some salad from the lettuce explosion outside.
2) Lots of lovely bargains from the charity shops in town, just about paid for from my allowance.
3) Went into SpecSavers and got a duplicate receipt for DH's glasses. Didn't realise that work will pay for them through a hospital fund. That's £99.65!
4) Just about to go outside and start digging the vegetable patch in the garden. I now have where it is going to be marked out with bits of string and twigs pushed into the grass.
5) Supermarket shopping later but as we are going away on Tuesday, we will only need the basics. Especially if I sort myself out and look in the freezer first.
Have a bargainous day, everyone!0 -
1) Listed clothes on ebay
2)Putting 2 loads of washing on the line
3)Hearing DS's playing outside with their friends
4)Leftover cottage pie for tea with 'whoops' broccolli
5)Being able to see the lounge carpet after the toys have been cleared away and hoovered0 -
Hiya, I really want to get in to the habit of posting on this thread more, it is good for the soul...
1 - a NSD
2 - the arrival of three vintage dresses and a leather jacket bought for pennies on Ebay. They are beautiful as well.
3 - cold leftover pizza for lunch
4 - making homemade gnocchi for tea, much easier than I ever thought it would be
5 - a joyous day working at home with the aussie. We are both busy but it is so lovely to spend time in the same space together
Best wishes x:beer:0 -
Evening all,
Sparrer - hope the hound is on the mend.
Today was a bit of a nothing day... nothing particularly bad happened, but nothing particularly good happened either...
1) Was in a promotions meeting this morning with the ad agency and I made a suggestion that everyone really liked. I am not creative at all, so usually just keep quiet whn the lovies are talking and I really had to work up the courage to say my suggestion in case they all thought it was stupid.
2) Went to the local cafe with a nice colleague for lunch - dolmades, hummus, proper coleslaw, potato wedges, salad amoung other yummy stuff.
3) Easy supper when I got home of beed stew and mash from the fridge
4) Enjoyed watching Richard Dawkins "Faith school menace?" on More 4 this evening. I have huge respect for that man.
5) Knitted in the train to and from work today for got another square completed for the blanket.
Nighty night...
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Evening
Sparrer - Hope the dog is better soon and home with you soon
Rainy Wednesday - Please can you le tme know how you make gnocchi as DD loves it so would be good if I can make my own
Pleasures for today:
1. Receiving 3 boxes of tampons in the post free from lilets after a genuine complaint.
2. Printing the vouchers for morgans rum and vodka and coke for someone at work that liked the sound of them.
3. Cinema date with OH (orange wednesday). Film wasn't up to much but nice to go out together for a change
4. OH then took me out to dinner after the film
5. Receiving my £10 phone from Tesco that was a glitch on their site. Thanks to the grabbit board:money:. DD's phone is apparently not working properly so looks like she may be getting it instead of me.
Probably won't be posting for a couple of days as off to parents in morning for Uncles funeral plus going to spend a couple of days with mum and dad. Will also bring DD home with me so peace with be shattered in our house with a stroppy. sorry meant to say lovely, teenager back in the house

)
My 5 -
1. Slept in my own bed last night - didn't get a lot of sleep worrying about the dog but as least I was comfortable
2. Thanks to MSE I have just enough money in my emergency fund to pay the vet bill, which is :eek::eek:
3. Totted up this years survey sites earnings so far and have already made what I did in the whole of last year. Mostly by doing the tedious ones too but it certainly seems to be paying off
4. nsd
5. Postie brought me a small club card voucher from Mr T. Don't know how I've earned it as we only have a small shop attached to a filling station (the fs doesn't give points as it's not Mr T fuel) and I so seldom use it I'm surprised I've got anything. However every little helps, as they say
night night sweet dreams
